Thanks! It's great to be back. It's been a lot of fun, and I've got a decent system/work flow that makes it not too stressful to put out a decent quantity of reviews.

Jeff, I’m happy to see you released the imaginary hostage you kept off camera to your right and the intros are now delivered to us. 😅

Happy to help. This is one of those reviews that (hopefully) proves to the naysayers that I really do try to be unbiased. I like Joel a lot. He seems like a stand up cool dude, and he has other products that are much better than this. So a part of my soul feels bad, but it's my "job."

@@StoneColdMagic exactly it's just your job and you take the good with the bad but it's just part of your job and I wouldn't be watching you if I didn't think you would be honest. And the totally agree he does have some other products that are definitely great!

@@StoneColdMagic 😂 yes I remember this review. I don't think that this is terrible however as I said I saw this and straight away I had questions. And your review answered them so much that I knew this wasn't for me, someone else maybe just not for me.

@@fletch1313 - Yep. I don't imagine Joel ever putting out something "terrible." But this one does have issues, but even with the issues removed, as you pointed out, this may not be for everyone.

Yeah, the effect isn’t great. I did like the gambit patter at the start, “let me show you the difference between guessing and mind reading…”. I can see using that with a binary guess over the more transparent, “you didn’t choose heads, did you?”

@@erictrainor4345 Agreed. Some of the scripting can be useful. That’s why I gave it a “grubble” because there are some “gem” parts.

I'll check with Jay and see if he has any to spare that he can send me. However, he only has about 4 or 5 left in stock, so he likely won't be able to send me one, but I'll see what I can do.

Even if the method and gimmick quality were great, I don't like the presentational angle of having the cards in the first place. If I'm going to have to drag around a bunch of gear for a coin flip trick, I'd go with an i*d**. But there are so many other ways of doing a similar trick. In my opinion it's only impressive if you can do it at least 3 times perfectly, and 4 times is better. It's a 50/50 after all, and you need to make sheer chance an unlikely explanation. The presentation of the cards and the strange wording and the word games you hinted at would make the whole thing tedious if I'm understanding it correctly. Thanks for the review!

While I agree with that point personally, I try not to let something like affect the review rating. For every person like us who doesn't want to carry stuff around for a trick like this, there's someone who doesn't mind or would actually prefer it. So the effect itself rarely has any impact on the star rating, but I totally feel you on that. Also, your point about it only being a 1 shot effect is something I didn't even think of. You're 100% right. You cannot repeat this effect for the same person twice in a row which does weaken this. When doing a heads/tails routine, for it to have any real level of impact, you need to do it a few times to prove that you didn't just get lucky. Regarding the "strange wording," there are actually a couple of nuances in the script that I think are smart and have their place, but overall, when you have to start gaslighting, it doesn't feel right. Suddenly, it feels to the participant like you're doing what you're doing (reframing history). Thanks again for your comments, and thanks for watching!
