Thank you for this! I have so many 'almost' connections to several people in this case, it's crazy. I never dreamed you would cover a case from my hometown. I only met Jeff Willis once in the mid 90s. He was dating a friend of a friend. The meeting was just an introduction and very quick and not memorable in the least. I worked directly with the gas station manager's Mom (who is an absolutely amazing person by the way). However, I didn't realize this until after the trial, and I had moved away. It wasn't anything we ever discussed. Rebekah Bletsch was married to a distant cousin of mine; though we've never met. My parents live right down the road from where he lived when he was committing these crimes. They also didn't know each other. Willis was working with another cousin of mine whilst he was committing these crimes. Not directly though , same shift but different departments. The last 'almost' connection... The husband of my childhood best friend, was one of the amazing prosecuting attorneys for his trial. Also haven't met him. I keep hoping Jessica's remains are found and returned to her family. Jeff was my younger brothers best friend since elementary. My brother passed in 2012, before this happened. He helped with his funeral arrangements. Last time I remember seeing Jeff was when we both showed up to take the test to work for the census. I sat next to him because I'd known him since he was 8. I walked out on the test, as I thought it was really hard. He was always pretty smart. I wonder if he ever got the job; going door to door asking how many people lived at their address. I also wore his jersey for senior powder puff. I got really drunk, fell in the fire and melted the back of it. Kind of gives me the chills, when I think that I know someone capable of committing these types if crimes. My mother would tell all my brother's friends to come over any time and use the pool, even after he passed away.

Sigh of relief for all of you. Glad you're all safe. 🌹 My baby sister had a close call with some creep back in the 80's. I lived a thousand miles away, but we'd usually talk once a week on the phone. Her car broke down and she'd just passed a gas station, so she was walking back to call someone to come get her. Some guy in a pickup says "that your car? You broke down? I can take a look at it...." Real nice and polite. She says "nah thanks, just gonna go call somebody." He insists "well, lemme give you a ride!" She says "No thanks, I got it.." keeps walking. He puts the truck in park, jumps out, starts running after her, IN SIGHT OF THE GAS STATION and she said it was like a switch was flipped! He's yelling, cussing, telling her what he's gonna do to her...she said the adrenaline kicked in and she'd never run so fast in her life! She says just then the gas station employee comes out and sees her running and sees the guy chasing her. And thank gosh, the creep SAW THE GAS STATION GUY SEEING THE CREEP CHASING HER. She said he quit chasing HER & ran back to his truck. I thought my heart would stop just hearing her tell that story. I said did you call the cops???!!! She said no, the gas station guy wanted to call the sheriff (they didn't have cops outside the city limits, they had sheriffs) I said, you should've called the cops, someone like that has probably done it before and for sure will do it again. How many folks are living paycheck to paycheck driving crappy cars & taking their chances out here every day? I used to be so happy when my car would die and I'd think "Yay! I broke down on the bus route! At least I can get home! 🤦

so the manager drove by,saw something suspicious....turned around and went to the store to see someone unloading something into the van from the back of the store....and as manager, she didn't even bother to go into the store, to talk to Jessica about what it was that was being taken out through the back door?....WTF!!

I just saw this, guess I missed one! Damn dude! Your commentary is so awesome and on point. The way you break down and explain how strange it would be for Jeffrey to keep files relating to very specific crimes that he wasn't involved with...excellent commentary my friend. With a splash of your signature sarcasm, yet delivering high quality explanations of court proceedings and other such matters. YOU ROCK!

I'd invite you to read further down in this comment section where Kevin's niece talks about what sort of man Kevin is. There is no 'poor Kevin'. Kevin is a waste of human DNA.

Perfect. As always, you're coverage is not only (for lack of better term) entertaining but more importantly very educational. I have been so distraught over a case i saw recently covered by Crime Watch called "The Cannibal Cop" and this story is exactly what the jury on that case should have to see so they might be able to understand why the F.B.I. knew it was necessary to lock that cop away....and why finding him not guilty was the wrong wrong wrong way to vote. I personally appreciate all of your videos because i love listening to all the intelligence you gift to your listeners. Perfection. Your choice of words and how you use them just everything everything! Fantastic work, thank you for all you put into your channel.

My worst job EVER was working at a gas station. I was in my early twenties and five feet tall. The amount of absolute creeps that hung around in the store was ridiculous. Half of them clearly had intellectual disabilities so I never worried about those guys as much, but the others just flat out made me scared. They'd stand around and try to talk to me for literal hours. I couldn't handle that job, quit after a few months.
