very good video, I installed the plugin but returned a java error after installation. then I was able to follow all video but userone and usertwo were not showing anything on the dashboard, so I thought it was because of the wrong plugin installation. so went to uninstall the plugin and after that Jenkins crashed completely. even with repair could not fix. had to remove and re-install a Jenkins fresh copy. glad that this was not a production environment!! backup the jobs at lest. :-)

Video is outdated. Under Manage and Assign Roles, the Role-based Authorization Strategy does not provide Project Based roles section (anymore)

Good video! What if I have folders not views (i.e folder1 > folder2 > job1 ... jobn), and I want that a particular user when logged in have access to only folder2 with jobs but do not have access to folders on the same level as folder1. How to grant access with regex then? Thanks

Again, it's 'authorization' - not 'authentication'. They are different meanings! We already know a user is who he or she purports to be...
