Jennifer Hudson's voice, expression with every fiber of her being embodies and defines pathos. It transcends performance... she evokes the sadness and indescribable pain we collectively feel each and every time. Well done. Period.

There's just some people that have a way of expressing their pain that can touch your soul. Donny Hathaway was a rare soul who lived a tragic life and expressed that pain like no other. Rip to him, Kobe & Gigi, as well as all that lost their lives in this tragic accident.

Jennifer Hudson did an amazing performance. She lost her mom, brother, and nephew all in one day, within minutes in a horrific tragic gun attack. She has felt and can feel their loss. Let Us Pray: God we lift up the families and loved ones of everyone who was on that helicopter. God we ask You in Jesus’ name comfort them. Give them all peace, strength, understanding, and joy in their season of bereavement and sorrow. God give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness (Isaiah 61:3). God do the same for everyone who loved anyone on that helicopter. God do it also for the fans of Kobe Bryant. Thank You Jesus. Amen.

I can't put it into words how much my heart goes out to all that was lost in that flight and as I read in all the other comments, I agree it does not feel real. I get so clammed up every time I see a tribute, a picture and now even a Laker jersey it makes me feel like I lost a distant relative. I loved the game of basketball just as much as Kobe Bryant did so the lost of him in the eyes of basketball fans is a true heartache and tragedy. Kobe you will be missed but never forgotten.

Ms. Mahone . We are obligated to pray for the tone deaf, along with anyone else. I pray that God grant you the true joy of hearing an angel who will open your ears and fill them with heavenly sounds that can only come from Him. Your life will never be the same. 🙏🏾

@@joiisler3012, I understand you have your opinion, and I respect it. I believe Jennifer to be a very talented woman on many levels. She is also a very nice woman, as I have had the privilege of meeting her (she's from my home town). However, as I said before, in my opinion this rendition felt more like one of her well performed, performances, therefore it evoked no emotions within me. Lol.. your heart felt prayer for me is appreciated. Nonetheless, I have heard many, many angel-like voices, considering I am very musically inclined myself. However, I thank you so very much for remaining semi-polite.

Ms. Mahone . First of all, I apologize for that “tone deaf” remark, it was a low blow. Of course I respect your opinion, as much blood was shed in the hope that we would All have an opportunity to voice ours. I admit I was probably reacting more to the courage and grace this talented young lady showed to even Try to comfort thousands (if not millions) of people in their time of grief, when she Had to be thinking of her own horrible loss just a few years ago. God made us Perfect, but we don’t always Act perfectLY. This is not an excuse, merely an apology for crossing the line in my own grief. Peace to you and yours.😔🙏🏾
