When I used to work in audio, this was a track we used to demonstrate capabilities on good speakers. It's an outstanding track along with sonic perfection.

For years in the pre-internet era before I had discovered Stevie Ray Vaughan, I used to feel that whoever was playing the guitar here sounded like David Gilmour having 500% more fun than David Gilmour ever did. Looking back, it's a pretty good assessment.

There's no big mystery. That verse was dropped when the song was edited for length. Warnes' version is much more radio friendly.

Hey, the ladies shouldn't take drugs that make them thin. Weren't they called amphetamines in those days? I always loved my wife the way she is. Fuzzy and true! How did I get so lucky! 61 and still in love! K
