I loved that bike! First year of the cradle frame. However, I had the 500. I won an amateur supercross fall series championship in Huetter, Idaho in 91 on that bike, and at the same time Jeremy McGrath was giving tips on whole shot starts in Dirt Bike magazine with geometry illustrations and everything on body positioning and weight transfer, both feet on the ground for launch balance and starting in 2nd gear. You see kids, back then most riders thought it was faster to have your shifter foot already on the peg. But in reality, by the time you lift your feet, that's when it's time to shift. 😂 Needless to say, I got every hole shot that year! Thanks Jeremy! And thanks for sparking some memories! Yep I'm a 55 year old dude 😂 still racing 🏁 you are the King 👑 in my book!

@Marvin Frenchy I grew up one town over from Barnett. We went to the same high school, he dropped out around his sophomore year because of his racing success. They should outright ban 4 strokes in motocross. I never felt unsafe on a 125 or 250 two stroke...not once. On my 450's, I was literally hanging on for dear life 50% of the time hoping I was somewhat in control. I was actually slower on a 450 than 125. I could ride a 125 and empty 3 gallons in one day and be in 7th heaven. With the 450's, I run one tank and I've had enough. I'm just happy to get off without being hurt.
