To everyone who has answered to "Jerry Cantrell"s message, I'm pretty certain this is fake, anyone could name themselves Jerry Cantrell and the photo you can also find on the internet. People do that a lot and name themselves Kurt Cobain, Layne Staley, Eddie Vedder or pretty much anyone they'd like to be. He also copy and pasted this comment quite a bit and the channel just joined like 3 months ago. As much as I'd wish for this to be real, cause I love Jerry, can't be as naive believing this is Jerry. If it was real, he also could've answered with his official account.

Naw....don't worry about Jerry, hon.....He's not under-rated, just subtle.....I am sure it wouldn't change him, even if he had a ton more money. He would still eat the same dinner, and still live on a farm with his dad....Can't Change Me, is a song by Chris Cornell, but even more appropriately, that song could be about Jerry.....Untainted, for sure. I'm not saying he never had any problems like we all do, but he just manages to stay for real. No pretense....so lovely....
@breebryant4037

@@phat80 ...As for John Fogerty, still not quite under-rated. More like under-paid, though, because they took all his money. Everyone from that generation, at least, knows his brilliance, but he is the perfect example of music industry moguls completely ripping their talent off....everybody still thinking that John is prolly a real wealthy dude, because of the amount of success of his work, but not even...The producers got rich, not him. That's why he hermit-ized, or whatever...Reclusive, because it pissed him off, of course...At least he did not just selfishly crumble personally, and go and off himself like Pete Ham, from Badfinger. Can you imagine? A brand new little baby girl, and that's not enough to keep him from that, just the thought of getting to see her grow up, and the name of the record executive is actually in his suicide note...like 'I'll see you in hell....so and so's'.... So tragic, but so selfish...His daughter's wedding was filmed and I think is still on YT, so we can see it anytime if we want, but he will never see it....Dumb, just dumb....People should get that once you have a child your life is in a big part about them, not about your own selfish reaction to finances....Jeez...

The other thing is that the harmonies he uses in his songs whether it is now or in the past he learned to write like this and in that way from Layne. He mentions in many interviews after Layne passed away. Don't remember which interviews but I'm sure I either read or watched them, with him saying that Layne's use of harmonies and his way of making it sound as if it's off key or time even though it's very much right in its own way and how he realised that its special and very original. And how he feels like he owes him for all of that knowledge where he managed to get it in person from one of the greatest how he refers to Layne m'fcking Staley. He loved him very much, he helped out Jerry when he was low without no money or the basics to survive that's how much of a friend Layne was. He made him feel at home and quickly became best friends and band member buddies. Jerry quickly realised his talent and ability. Unfortunately he couldn't keep Layne away from his demons. Even though he did keep him motivated and determined to write music even towards the end of his life. He still had some light in the tunnel & I guess it was HARD for Jerry to see that happen to his BEST FRIEND & EXTREMELY TALENTED INDIVIDUAL...

Frankly Jerry was AIC. Yes, Layne had an irreplaceable voice and he wrote some lyrics, but the vocals and guitar on this track have the signature AIC feel. Jerry ran the show. Kinda like how Billy Corgan played everything but the drums on every Smashing Pumpkins album. The main difference is that James Iha knows how to play as evidenced by Maynard recruiting him for APC.

Thank you. I am so utterly sick of every thing and everyone on KZitem being called "underrated" by people acting like they're the only ones who know/care about it. It's such a case of people patting themselves on the back for their tastes, especially when what they like isn't remotely obscure.
@Laney-py4db
11 ай бұрын
@Corn_Pone_Flicks why would anyone pat themselves on the back because of music they like? I've never heard of it. If I'm ever going off about the music that keeps me going I'm boasting or bursting at the seams with thanks and praise for the artistry craft gift all the years of beating the pavement they've put on to be who and what they and their bands families and loved ones go through and give up being a normal person for. There's one person missing I think of every day without fail. I don't know why that is, but I do. Im thankful for the gifts he left for us behind to keep him in loving memory, which keeps him alive in many ways, and for me, Layne Stayle will always be hands down 💯 THE best lead vocalist of all time. Boom!♡LaneyBaby
