They lost the last game without their starters because they had already clinched home field and I think they lost to the Chiefs. Both games they should have won. The other loss was an inexplicable loss to the Eagles at Candlestick, but after that; they went on one of the most dominant 10 game runs I've ever seen and I've watching football since 1981.

I don't understand why everyone is talking shit about Jerry Rice. Did you guys even watch him play? Have you seen how far he is in EVERY single receiving statistic, so far ahead of the 2nd best of all time that it's ridiculous. Not just in the regular season, but also in the playoffs and most importantly, in the superbowl! He's the greatest player of all time, not just receiver, the GREATEST PLAYER! He was the MVP of superbowl 23, then 15 years later scored a touchdown in the superbowl with the Raiders. He also caught 3 of Steve Young's 6td passes in superbowl 29, he caught 3td's in superbowl 24 when Montana was mvp. He has almost 23,000 career receiving yards, about 8,000 more than Moss or T.O. at #2. He has over 1,500 career receptions. Should I keep going or does someone want to argue that he's not the best receiver ever?
@edwardbrito3332
9 жыл бұрын
MVPs are slanted to QB they got like 75% of all MVPs so to even get 1 is an accomplishment think only 2 total maybe 3 WR SB MVPs and what are the odds the 2 best QB performances 5TD and 6TDs... 49 and 55 pts top and top 3 totals are led by a team where Rice was the best WR and main target. Yeah, you got to ignore math and ignore large chunks of Moss career to argue otherwise on this question... if you mention playoff and SB stats case is closed.

I think Randy Moss with Jerry's work ethic would have been the greatest receiver of all time but as it stands Jerry is number 1 and Randy is 2 though Id argue that Randy was a bigger deep ball threat than Jerry

@@drewconrad5445 jerry rice was not the talent moss was being able to stretch the defense with three guys on him lol . You see moss did not have the greatest qb throwing him the ball and still amassed the numbers he did. I can just imagine what he would have done with montana or young. It's a scary thought .

@@bancolino , they faced each other 10 times. Rice averaged 6 catches for 105 yards against Sanders, which is better than his career average *as a 49er*, before his last few years with Seattle, etc. Rice had 3 down games against Sanders, all under 50 yards receiving, but all of those were also games where San Fran's first string QB was hurt. So no, Deion did not "shut Jerry Rice out."

YOU go away! You specifically saw how Deion DENIED Jerry Rice a touchdown pass in their games. You heard with your own ears how Jerry had nightmares preparing to face Deion Sanders. Deion backed up his talk with action because Deion Sanders is a legend in his own right. Also, averages are misleading. You got to look at each game. Deion struggled early on, but he got much better against Jerry in later years. That's exactly why the 49ers signed Deion to play for them. Legend vs. Legend, and Jerry Rice was NOT the victor.
