One of the very best to ever do it. Maybe the most under-recognized coach ever. Even Phil Jackson said it's an injustice that Sloan never got his Coach-Of-The-Year award. We love you, Coach!!!! :)

He may not be the best NBA coach out there but he gave me faith on how the game of basketball is supposed to be played, how he conduct himself after the game. He never blamed his players for the lost of a game (except when they, including Stockton & Malone do not put out their efforts on the floor). He's humbled to a fault he makes me wish I can play for him. I wish Mr. Sloan nothing but the best on his retirement

Awesome :) I've been a fan of my fav player AK47 and by extension the Utah Jazz since I first saw him play in 2002. Interestingly I'm from NY and now he's in the Nets (yay!) But I always wish the Jazz well and they will always be dear to my heart. Sloan was one of a kind and certainly deserves the honor! Thanks for the video :) p.s I love the avatar pic, the frohawk was my fav ak47 hair do he needs to bring it back!

The TOUGHEST and most competitive player i have seen in the last fifty years. He played every game like it was life or death for him and his family. Just ask anyone who playes with or against him. His intensity as a player was rare and unmatched.

He and Stormin Norman Van Lier. The back court of the Bulls during the 70's. I remember one game they both went into the stands to confront a spectator who threw something onto the court. Sloan was Hard Nosed.

Wish more people had seen him play. Very good player. Superb defender, a better rebounder than many if not most forwards, much less guards. Decent scorer as well. Gave you hell every night!
