An he scored over 25,000 Points with no 3Pointer an he has 9 finals appearances an get absolutely no love. West Robertson should be ahead of guys like Shaq because the NBA had a better more athletic Shaq which was Wilt. West an Robertson are Michael Jordan Goats for a reason. You put these 2 in any era an the outcome might exceed. They were very good for their time. Today they'd be in the same realm as LeBron KD Giannis Jokic Curry & Luka infact they might be better. Because West was knocking down long jumpers before Curry daddy was born. Another part of their games that I believe the NBA is hiding is how great a defender West & Robertson were. Especially West.

Jerry West was a 6'5" (shoes on like all rookies were measured from '73 on) guard that did so many things on the basketball court at a high level but it was his shooting that set him apart. No guard in NBA history has had a quicker pull up jumper or was as clutch with it. Mr Clutch has tried to teach modern players how to shoot the pull up jumper like he did but nobody has been able do it as well. I mean, Jerry was lethal with that shot. He could hit it going left or right and he would give a hard dribble and jump as the ball came off the floor, seemingly propelling him higher. Because it was so quick and Jerry had good hops, he didn't need much space to get it off and it was extremely accurate, especially when it mattered most. Jerry West's pull up jumper is one of the greatest signature shots in the history of the NBA. 💪👏

I am 78 years old and have loved and followed basketball since my family bought our first tv when I was 8-9 years of age. I have seen the greats including George Mikan, Tom Gola, Bob Cousy, Oscar Robertson, Wilt Chamberlain (was the greatest to have ever played basketball), etc, etc up to the present day. The players from the 50s through the 60s were great athletes equal to any we.have today but they didn’t have the benefits of years of modern coaching, training and medical improvements in treating and preventing injuries. If these players from the the period starting at childhood, had today’s education and training, imo they would excel today as much as they did when they played. Without KZitem most people can never see what players from the past could do. It is a great resource to see much of modern world.
