@@SmoothLife. Hi Sir, our children came first. Jesse never left music he just stopped performing in venues, stage. He recorded albums I have in my person and he wrote thousands of songs for artists. I was so hurt to learn he passed away. Just a few months ago, after the Can We Talk challenge, I saw people on KZitem debating male singers from the 90s. Jesse Powell was ranked at the top, along with Tevin and Kevon Edmonds. Jesse’s voice was crystal clear and beautiful. “If I” remains one of my favorite songs. May he rest in peace.

Unbelievable voice…four octave range! The only singer the group Enchantment allowed to use their original musical track from the 70”s on his remake of Gloria. JP was a vocal gift to this world. S.I.P. my brother.

Underrated because he went "completely" under the radar. This was the only song that hit Billboard's hard but after, nothing. An era of music where there were numerous popular RnB singers, it blocked him out. So so sad he never got more recognition
