ONE BIG QUESTION has lingered since Stargate SG-1's "Lost City" wrapped up the seventh season with a bang: Why did actress Jessica Steen not continue on in her role as Dr. Elizabeth Weir for the spin-off series, STARGATE ATLANTIS? What might have been if producers had not recast the role with Torri Higginson?
That question is finally answered in Jessica Steen's new interview with "Dial the Gate" host David Read. She reveals that she bugged the show's producers with excessive questions - about her character, the world she inhabits, Stargate Command, and the ins and outs of the show's lore. That, and her commitment to an actors' production at Burning Man during filming, ended up giving The Powers That Be a negative impression of her commitment to Stargate.
