JESUS JONES!!! Now there was a band. yeppers, back in the summer of '91. We all thought they was going to be the future of rock and roll.

Right there with you. I was so so so obsessed with this band. I was in elementary in 91 when I first heard them. But I was 11. Mike Edward’s was like Jason Mamoa to me

91? Man them and Faith no More late 80’s signified the end/ start of something new going on. Inwas too young to go to acid house raves, but sensed change was in the air. Want an amazing period to be a musician - the cusp of maybe the greatest decade

@@holeintheleg I couldn’t agree more. Our generation got to be a part of the late 80’s and early 90’s were witness to the greater shift in music. I was 10 in 81

Do you remember the competition in one of the music papers for the best anagram of Ned's Atomic Dustbin? The 3rd place prize went to Den's Atomic Dustbin. Genius, I thought.

the samples used in this album were legendary... the free magazine 'Making Music' did a feature on them from Prince to electric drills and everything inbetween

I saw Jesus Jones early on, supporting Throwing Muses (now there's a combo). Harlesden, Mean Fiddler (after a bit of searching, looks like it was 2nd March 1989, so the Muses would've been touring Hunkpapa, and Info Freako was out). JJ were amazing. I thought they would be the new thing, that they would be huge. They were. For about five minutes! PS A couple of weeks before, on the same Throwing Muses tour, I saw them at Goldwyns in Birmingham, supported by The Sundays. They sure knew how to pick a good support act (It was The Pixies for the previous tour - technically co-headlining, but the shows I saw had Pixies on first)

Mike Edwards is a genius and Jesus Jones are pioneers.... Do you want to rock do you want to dance do you want to freak out..... do you want to sit in the corner are you punk are you shy... do you want to hold the wall up.... Jesus Jones’s liquidizer is a revolutionary record .... and then came Doubt and Perverse fucking brilliant

Before they went pop. Liquidiser was such a great album. I remember being at college and hearing the demo for the second album - a mate knew some of the band. Its was full of samples - we were pumped and then they released Doubt.....

This song Rocks. I remember I couldn’t find any high quality for the song and I had to listen to the low quality. Thanks god I finally found the original song. You guys are handsome and your frontman has a really great voice
