Great review! I like how JetBlue went with the ife screens, when some airlines are going for the onboard streaming. Though they're replacing the Embraer, I wonder if JetBlue will open up some new routes since the A220 has decent range. Cheers from Tokyo!

There was talk at one point about an A220 with a premium product on board for longer routes, “Jr Mint” or so I heard it. Doesn’t seem to have materialized but the A220 sure seems comfortable for longer routes and has the range. Thanks!

That whining noise are the engines spooling up from idle. At a certain speed, the acoustics of air flow between the fan and compressor generate this "whale-call" noise. Find KZitem videos of the Embraer E2 Jets and you will find they have the same engine and generate the same sounds.

I love how JetBlue is doing what there're doing. I'm wishing for them to start service to Omaha Nebraska

@@GilbertTravels Thank you. I've never flown JetBlue but I've been wanting to for a long time. I live in Omaha and that's one of the reasons why I want them to start service to Omaha and if they do fly to Omaha I will for sure fly Jetblue when I go on vacation.

That inflight entertainment Picture in Picture is amazing. Totally agree with your avgeek comment - no more having to choose between the map and watching a show. Can’t wait to try the A220.

Yea, really a nice setup, huge improvement on their old system, which was great for its time, but really showing age.

@@GilbertTravels yeah I flew JetBlue a decade ago and loved their system then, but great to see this improvement. PS - your mask is cool.

The noise is the engines, aircraft that are equipped with the p&w GTF engine all make that noise such as the Embraer-E2, C-Series (a220), MC-21, and a320 neo family.

Thanks, it’s quite an interesting noise, and amazing for how prominent it is behind the turbines that it is so quiet in the front of the cabin.

Many airlines should learn from Jetblue, being a low-cost airline doesn't mean you should try. The best way to cross the US!

YES the hydraulics are soooo noisy. I was on Swiss Air's and it was almost painful at times during taxi and landing

Nice review 👍 it'll be a definite upgrade over the e190. I'm going to try & pair it with an air canada a220, which looks to be good too 🤔🤞

A sound like that is common on many A220s and the E2 jets of Embraer. Would still like to be on an A220.

I have considered linking to full takeoff and landing footage for those who want to see it! I appreciate the feedback and take it into advisement. Most people skip the landing and takeoff footage from the analytics but I know some people really enjoy it!
