I listen to this song multiple times....every year at Christmas. Jethro Tull is a band that will only come around once - period.

Friday I'm finely seeing Ian Anderson. Since my first amazing experience hearing Living In The Past on a 45 record but to my delight the B side was A Christmas Song! 1972only 12 yrs old. Severely abused it was like someone knows humanities B. S. It helped me stay clear headed. Jethro Tull did that for me!

Christmas morning every year I play 'The Jethro Tull 'Christmas Album.' A brilliant selection of songs....makes you happy, laugh, think and will even bring a tear to your eye! This song and 'Another Christmas Song' are just brilliant. A must album to play on a Christmas morn...

For the last 15 years, I've listened to this album on the 23rd of December. Both to get in the Spirit of Christmas, and to remind myself and those fortunate enough to listen in of what Christmas is all about. Without this, for me there is no Christmas Spirit. Ian Anderson is my Household Deity, even if he's not dead yet.

@@K0MBIAN Yes. Ian remains one of my musical hero's. An intelligent 'rock' star....and so much more. Was listening to 'Divinities' yesterday. Divine.

Yust an hand made vocal song without technic, totally surprise, wonderful, and true, I love such songs and songwritings without any boosting of technic. I found today few days after Christmas 2020 to this band, this singer and this song, and I love it and will play it again to other Christmases, yeah.

This man and his assemblage were life changing 4 decades ago; are awesome here; and he's still magnificently sharing the bounty today. I urge anyone who can to reward him with their attendance when, or if, he comes your way. Such a treat will not be available forever. It's astounding that he still continues to perform. And trust me, you'll be more than pleased with his song choices. I mean, really, you can see the man himself perform Aqualung still! And it hasn't lost one lick. Scintillating.

This is truly a wonderful Christmas song, absolutely rife with genuine Christian spirit and emotion, as I, as a follower of Christ, understand it. I fell in love with Tull and I.A. in 1979, after hearing the Songs From the Wood album. Actually, after hearing the first few seconds... There is no-one like Ian. He's an autodidact, which I didn't know until recently. He's like another father to me, and I say this without dishonoring my own wonderful father. God Bless you Ian Anderson

Well He sounds pretty blasphemous in Aqualung but perhaps he saw something later - I love Jethro Tull and I like to think there is something Godly in their love of the folk heritage of England.

The intro to the version on the "A Little Light Music" album is hilarious (and a bit naughty!). Anyway, I put this version, a live backstage version from 1989, the 1968 original and the 2003 remake in my Christmas playlist. Thanks for the upload!
