Even Metallica fans should appreciate how this song put Ian Anderson and company to stand on the same stage that year. A huge, meaningful piece with the powerful rock edge that had to shock the critics as well as the unprepared. Still a personal favorite.

There are whole Jethro Tull albums that are underrated. "Stormwatch" for instance. That album starts out great, and then, it gets even better. "Song from the Wood". Exquisite music.

An isolated Martin Barre guitar track would sway anyone who thinks Metalica should've taken the Grammy.
@CloudBart

+Zachary Vanchiere much agreed! - Martin's playing on Crest of A Knave was stunning - it's my favorite gateway album for new Tull fans, sonically it sounds so freaking good when cranked up. The older re-mastered recordings have improved the "punch" of older Tull songs but Crest of A Knave always had it, its a very accessible album as well for new fans, shame that they didn't go and receive the award though, that was lame on the record company's behalf (telling them not to go to LA)

I'm getting ready for a Tull tribute show and I have to learn all of Martin's parts. He's probably one of the most underrated rock guitarists of all time. Very unique style and unusual chord voicings.

I saw them on this tour in Atlanta. Exact same set as here but with a mini-pub around the keyboard with band members pouring themselves ales during the show. I bet they kept that out of this show because it was in a Muslim nation.
