hasidic jewish girl getting baptized
Last week, the ActoLik reported that four ultra-Orthodox girls, graduates of Satmar's best educational institutions, voluntarily converted to Christianity at official ceremonies in churches in the New York area. This was reported by journalist Menachem Rahat in the religious newspaper "Mood of the Wind".
These are girls from Torah schools, who studied at Satmar institutions in Boro Park, Williamsburg and Monsey, from childhood to adulthood.
The first to lead the wave of apocalyptic conversions is a young woman, of a well-known rabbinic family, the Paneth family. A few months ago, she married in the community with a Satmar Hasidic disciple, at a ceremony in which all the usual limitations of Hasidism were practiced. After a short while, says Rahat, the couple divorced. The woman did not return to her parents' house and actually disappeared. This was discovered in a video uploaded to the website of one of the churches in the area, and it turned out that the girl was converted voluntarily.
The woman who had baptized did so in front of the cameras without trying to hide her identity and her name. She was interviewed at length and said that she was raised in the extreme sect of Satmar, to a privileged rabbinic family, but concluded that "all this satmarism is bluff, vanity and evil." She decided to leave Judaism and take the extreme step of conversion.
The religious newspaper says that at first Satmar tried to hide the shocking incident, but after the video was uploaded to the Internet, it was admitted there that the woman had indeed baptized and said that the educators and rabbis of the community must gather and examine how they reached this situation.
In addition to these two, Rahat writes, we are now talking in Satmar in New York about the baptizing of two other young girls who are graduates of Satmar's education system
