Great work. She falls in line with many other dominant female figures that sought to secure the legacy of their dynastic line. Naqia of Assyria and the Persian queens of the 5th and 4th centuries are other examples...

Does anyone do good videos on Hebrew phonology? I'd love to hear a reconstruction of Hebrew / Canaanite pre-lenition

Wasn't Dido the sister of Pygmalion rather than his wife? Also, without knowing the wives and mothers of Baasha, Zimri, Tibni and Omri, it's hard to say for sure that there were no family connections from Jeroboam to Omri, right? Amitai Baruchi-Unna makes an interesting case that Jehu was a scion of Omri, with his grandfather Nimshi being a son of Omri.

I read somewhere that the cult of Yahvé was only introduced to Israel by the Omrid dynasty. So it must have been very recent c850. Not surprising there were other Gods at the same time

Personally I don't buy these Solomon references. Kings was written a few of centuries after.

No Yahvistic orthodoxy at the time of Jezebel. This is anachronistic. Kings was written c650bc
