What was your thoughts on JG Motorsports' short time in NASCAR?

Since it was Brooke Gordon and Ray being the team. Sounds like an adventure that was right for the times. ???? Brooke ( and her story of what lead to her divorce… Ray ( and his story…… was there an adult relationship?

The Pepsi colors probably in my opinion was one of the most recognizable paint schemes in my memory of being a NASCAR fan. It’s a shame that Ray Evernham’s sudden departure would ultimately be the team’s demise. It very well could have been a rock solid Xfinity team.

One thing to consider, is Brooke filed for divorce in 1992 - but the tension between them began years before. A relative of mine was present in HMS during this time - and it was well known turmoil in the Gordon marriage. Rick was influential in Jeffs life. JG Motorsport dissolve into Hendrick may have been an agreement to smooth everything out - and ultimately be a win for everyone involved. Rick gets a development team in Busch; Ray moves onto a fresh team without any strings from wife's etc; and Jeff focuses on Cup, and cuts ties from a marriage he was unhappy in. Mr. H, cleaned up the youngsters transgressions and mistakes!

You glossed over one oversight with this... Brooke Shields (Gordon) The team was folded after their public divorce in 2000 finalized, because she was also a principal owner and sold her side to Hendrick, and Hendrick asked JG to close the team, but gave Jeff a stake in ownership at HMS, which led to him signing Jimmie Johnson in 2001 to race the #48
