I'm in Sarnia Ontario. Do you soak your seeds and do you put the lid on those black trays..I have some that were takeout trays.
@gardentokitchenwgarrycarte3963

Hello Chad from Sarnia, I don't soak the seed before planting - I create s small opening on the top of the Jiffy 7 with a pencil and cover the seed with a bit of the soil from the edge. I then spray them with warm water and put them into my BBQ Chicken containers that have a cover with holes. Place it in a warm place (not in sunny window) and it will fog up and create lots of humidity. Take look at photo I took yesterday @ drive.google.com/file/d/1WqmpECRnUDYGO-0V-1PafmF0BtBV7v0i/view?usp=sharing thanks for watching.

Hi from Scotland. I’ve seen some say that you transplant the whole thing in the ground when it’s time and others say that you rip the netting off. May i ask for your advice please?
@gardentokitchenwgarrycarte3963

Hi Julie, I have never taken the netting off and my plants grow really big. I've started to use the bigger J7 and I really like the results. Sometimes I start seeds in the J7 and pot them up into larger containers before they hit the garden and the pot becomes really full of roots - and that's what you really want a good root structure before you put into garden. Take a look at my larger j7 @ kzitem.info/news/bejne/t2Nu1a1mbmWaeaQsi=3oxNQoL5Hpouqpnd thanks for watching from Scotland! Garry

YAY to your enthusiasm for calibrachoa! Absolutely LOVE them! I've been getting calibrachoa for baskets for the last couple of years. Love that they put out an amazing scent at night and I get soooo many blossoms. I just moved up to Mount Vernon, WA from Everett, WA. Mount Vernon has LOTS of agriculture including the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival with all the gorgeous fields. We produce the most tulip bulbs of anywhere in the US! When I started looking for flowers here I'm seeing SOOO many more calibrachoa EVERYWHERE. I've bought about six different varieties so far. Look for Pink Bee. The center looks like a bee!

Hey Ferretocious, love your feedback and nice to hear about the tulips in WA. The city of Ottawa plants tulips each year and everyone flocks to see and photograph them. Its quite a sight. Its getting easier to find Calibrachoa seeds but some colours are still not available to home growers as seed. For the first time, I purchased some PARADISE ISLAND, the three colours - red, blue and yellow fused together and they are doing well under the lights. Did you see my video on the different Caibrachoa varieties? @ kzitem.info/news/bejne/02h50aWjn4GGZag Also, take look at my flowers photo I took few days ago under lights @ drive.google.com/file/d/1maCABRfnuIA1Db7Iw4eV-_7gzsgIbCaQ/view?usp=sharing Thanks for watching....

How did these do growing from seed last year? I always buy them as starts. The ones I've been buying here in WA have been about $3.59 each.

This is my 3rd year growing them from seed. They are really slow to start but once they get going no problems. This year they are around 5.00$ Canadian but once again hard to find they really nice unusual colours. I always shop the Canadian Tire Store in Canada as they sometimes have the unusual colours. I'm going to try and save some seeds this year as a project. Until next time.....cheers... btw look at the yellow/orange from last year @ drive.google.com/file/d/1J3XbNHkqcwwQNxZpaxuYQXmT8ZG-xJLJ/view?usp=sharing
