Oh my god. I've tried 6 different recipes of this cake and none of them came out right. This is the first recipe that I madre that went so fantastic. This is the real recipe. It came out perfect. I'm so happy. I love it.

Hi there I'm a new baker. What did she mean when she said "bake in preheated to 200?" Do I have to put it in while I pre-heat the oven? I'm confused. Thank you.

Nattaporn Liu she means you pre-heat the oven to that temperature which means you don’t put it right away- you wait until the oven is that temperature.

It is interesting that she puts lemon juice in the batter while other chefs put lemon juice when beating wgg white to stiff peaks. I’m reluctant to try her way but maybe will take a risk and do it her way. My other Japanese cheesecake recipe works out fine each time too so hmmm. Will have to see if her way is better. Thx.

People, keep in mind that the oven temperatures used in this video are celcius. If you are using a Farenheit oven, 200C is about 400F, and 160C is about 325F. Another thing to keep in mind is that those ovens have a fan below and a fan above the baking rack, which speeds up the baking (similar to a convection oven). If you don't have a convection oven, your baking time will be longer.

After multiple failed attempts, tried this recipe and it came out perfectly. Only thing is, after turning off the oven, do not pull the cake out of the oven immediately, leave the oven door open and let it sit for a few before bringing it out. Else it deflates a little.

Hi, I tried this recipe with all details that you’ve mentioned through video. the only change was my 20 cm pan size. unfortunately I ended up with a very short hight and to some extent under cook cheesecake. Can you help me with that for next time because i’m really the fan of this cheesecake that i tasted it many years ago in Japan. Thanks for your all efforts you put in making such a fab videos.

I know this may be a year too late but I’m case you didn’t think of it, did you Calculate Fahrenheit as opposed to Celsius? Also, depending on the type of oven it may require more time. Lastly, if you don’t beat the egg white to stiff peaks then there won’t be enough air in batter and therefore won’t rise.. Just some thoughts 😊
