I have immense respect for your integrity, Jen. When it feels like you're punching down it's time to move on. Jill sucks in so many ways but I also see her as a victim of all the usual suspects (religion, patriarchy, capitalism, etc.) I don't think any adult is "off limits" in furthering the conversation but I understand your hesitation in spotlighting someone who isn't powerful. Keep doing what you do and punch up and give it all you've got. There are so many harmful turds in this world that need to be exposed. May I suggest Jodi Hildebrand and Jim Jordan? Cool. ❤❤❤

Completely agree! So happy for you, Jen, you'll NEVER regret drawing an ethical boundary for your profitable work. I see the survivors in your comments, your comedy has great purpose & helps immensely. And I so appreciate that you recognize the inherent flaws in the youtube economy. I'm not against talented creators producing entertainment with real mission, but punching down in never good. I love me some Jesus, but I think he was just a person, and I think this is exactly what he asked us to think about, how we treat others as humans, regardless of our opinion of them. You are doing the Lord's work in a beautifully secular way ❤

You got me good with that intro. Had me checking if I had actually clicked on a Fundie video. While my favourite intro is James being chased in the woods and stopping for a vape sesh in the middle of it but this sure was absolute stellar JRod intro. I'm not mad you're ending the series, I think your ability to self reflect is incredible. I am going to miss the parodies, they're my favourite part but I'm sure you'll come up with other shenanigans.

Cognitive dissonance is super hard to deal with, but you do good work with a clear message of kindness. Jokes are made and appreciated because this is difficult material that you are covering. Go easy on yourself. You're beautiful people reaching out to communicate with and inform the world about these groups and families whose norms are harmful. You're a wonderful person with a wonderfully huge heart. Everyone deserves respect and you are always respectful, even when the subject you cover is horribly disrespectful to women, black individuals, and any member of the LGBT+ communities. You are very far on the side of right, nowhere near the line or crossing into the area of bullying or pandering.

Jen, I’ve commented before. I am somewhere on the road of deconstruction, not sure where I am or where I’ll end up. But for the last couple of years I have appreciated hearing your perspective on so many different issues and topics that challenged the worldview I had. Even in your hot takes and comedic moments, you are respectful of the people you cover. You act more like a biblical Christian than pretty much anyone you’ve covered on your channel; gracious, loving, respectful, etc. Listening to your opening monologue brought tears to my eyes. THIS is why I follow and watch all of your content. You set an example for how we ought to conduct ourselves when discussing serious and sensitive issues. It doesn’t have to be rigid and matter of fact, you can poke fun at ridiculous things while still showing respect and kindness for the humans behind the horrible beliefs. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for what you do and how you do it.

Please don't be so hard on yourself Jen, the amount of people you have helped on this platform is amazing. I grew up in this fundamental religion and I accidentally ended up in a cult. Exposing people like this and then explaining how they manipulate, you always go a step further to show us the language to untangle ourselves. You have done so much good! Its always a good idea to check in on ourselves and evaluate why we do things, that's what sets you apart. thank you for talking about the morals of snarking, even slightly!! i have been lurking in the fundie snark community since pre-pest arrest, and found you early on. i didn't grow up religious, and even i can tell the snarking community has gotten too harsh and volatile towards the people we claim to support, if they turn into the blue-haired liberals we want. the actions towards jill duggar and her book on the duggar sub has really highlighted how crazy things have gotten. i remember reading that you couldn't say ANYTHING positive about jill's book-- must be snark. how is that okay? these people ARE PEOPLE too.

Jenn I love you so much. When I went through my faith crisis your channel gave me a lot of peace, other snarky channels triggered me because of how intense they could be (rightfully so- I feel that anger too) but watching your content and how you try to treat the people you talk about as human and give them good points along with bad points, it’s not black and white here. It helped because my faith transition was messy, my church hurt me but also had a lot of good people who loved me genuinely in it. So having someone talk about this stuff with kindness but logic is so validating. I’m so grateful that you’re so conscious as a creator to be aware of what your content might be doing, you are a good person and one of the few KZitemrs that I always feel safe watching ❤️ I look forward to wherever you go with your channel :)

Awe Jen! I’ve been watching you for years and I love your content! Seeing you tear up made me tear up. I understand what you’re saying and your mental health and those children’s safety are both so important. Love you Jen!

Jen, you are such a spectacular human being...truly, you are a good good person. And also, you are slaying in that eye shadow.

Jen, I think this is one of those things where it's more important to wrestle with the question than to actually have an answer. The line between rightful criticism and bullying is finer than any of us would like some times. And thats ok. The worst thing I think anyone can be is unwilling to change their mind. Please give yourself so much credit for being able to learn, reasses, and grow. The world would be a better place if we all did that.

Jen you are so real! I'm here to watch you and the wacky stuff you find on the internet, no matter the topic. Happy spooky season y'all!
