Thank you very much for uploading this jewel. Jim Hall could play with, and inspire, any one. The same with Joey Baron. Incredibly satisfying trio!

"Jim is father of modern jazz guitar to me, he's the guy who invented a conception that has allowed guitar to function in a lot of musical situations that just weren't thought of as a possibility prior to his emergence as a player. He reinvented what the guitar could be as a jazz instrument... Jim transcends the instrument... the meaning behind the notes is what speaks to people." - Pat Metheny RIP Dr. Hall

I know Scott from his work with Nels Cline, and Joey from his work with Zorn- but it sure is cool seeing them with an old master like Jim.

It's true that Jim Hall transcends the instrument, but I find it nevertheless sometimes awfully boring. In "Undercurrent", with Bill Evans, he was great, especially in "My Funny Valentine". In the album "These Rooms", he was great as well. I saw him im Paris with Ron Carter in 2007...I was glad that Ron Carter was there... otherwise I would have gone.... Jim Hall was a great musician, but most people are in great demand of emotion....
