The song with piano accompaniment is pretty good classic Doors style. With the rest of Doors inputting their instruments; it could have been a hit. Also on another note; if any of the Rock stars faked their death; Morrison is the one who had a genuinely good reason to fake his own death. I bet it was a very scary and unpleasant thing to have a possibility of being sentenced to hard labor in a southern jail. I think this possibility could really be a motivator to fake his own death. But wether he faked his death or not; it really don’t matter to the fans. Because either way it meant that the fans will never see or hear him perform again. So in a way even if he didn’t die; to the public; it’s same as if he did die.

His voice sounds good considering this was recorded in June only weeks before his death when he was hacking and supposedly coughing up blood.

Quite nothing like hearing the Lizard King wax poetic. Btw, a reference to his father at around 21:00?

Not recorded in Paris, btw. Not sure why people keep perpetuating this myth, even if the boot has it on the lable. Was recorded in LA recording studio.

I was fortunate to have meet Jim Morrison back in the day and we shared a few jars of single malt whisky together,a lot of people hung out with him on the street, I asked him how come ,and he said it was agood way to keep hold of the common touch, I said to him why don't you write a song about it,llater I heard touch me babe, on the radio

This was apparently recorded in Paris. “The lost Paris tapes” he wrote Jomo and the smoothies on the box and put them in a department store bag from the La Samaritaine department store which he left at a friends place, Phil Dalecky, which he never went back and picked up. According to Mick Walls book

PS he met two American buskers while drinking whisky at Cafe de Flore which he brought to the studio. You can here and but if a French accent right at the end and Jim saying he wants “25% of their action because he brought them in there”.

it's called the Lost Paris Tapes because he took the reel to reels with him to Paris and they were later returned when Pam came back after his death.
