Hi Jim, should mention when talking about the tail that none of the failures were from a design flaw. They failed way above what they were certified for somewhere above 4.4 Gs. None the less our Bonanza's got a bad reputation.

10:57 you really should turn the prop backwards if you need to reposition it for the tow bar to reduce the chance of a kick.. Nice video!

Turning the prop “backward” is a good way to snag and break the graphite turbine in most vacuum pumps. Don’t do it. Turning a three bladed prop 20-30 degrees forward, on this Continental IO520, will not kick. I have the same plane.

Jim; it's a great looking plane. Do you really think I need a yaw damper for the V tail? My wife is Leary of me buying one because to the sway in turbulence. Do you get 175 knots true at 75% at about 8,000 feet? Thanks

I would say, No. I had one and never really engaged it. When I upgraded my auto pilot to the GFC500, I opted not to add dampener servo. Didn’t think it was necessary and have had no complaints from any of my backseat passengers.

what about the wind ? could the speed and vector of the wind make the plane overspeed without the pilot knowing it? sorry for my bad English, hope i could make myself clear!

@@jimwilson8309 I definitely will, especially since video is my new passion! Video tells a complete story faster than still photography, which I've been doing since I was 12. Almost everyone has a cell phone and with the internet, the world is your audience even if only a few people see what you produce. I will create video stories if no one sees them but ME!! Thanks for watching!

@ Gregory Burridge, I'm going to shoot a video of Jim as he goes through maintenance on his plane so I'll have him comment on those things, subscribe, and hit that bell and you'll be notified when that video is published. Thanks for tuning in. Otis G.
