One sunny calm day at sea in 1977, when we could have been in the R A or the G&D in Gosport!! Jim fixed it for me and my fellow crew mates of under water diesel beatles ... Seems so long ago now ...

5:30. George Crosthwaite should have whacked the lad with his clip board as he passed by for ruining our weekend! BTW who’s hand was stroking No 3 firing lever? Was it Thing?

WHO'S THING ????.... He puked down my leg at 49 bulkhead door ( or it might have been one of the film crew) Anyway it was edited out obviously. Bit of a shame really as I could have put on my CV ..... Appeared in a 'Sic flik ' 🤣

@@rosscassidy9781 it could be C. C. Ryders. Can’t remember the casing officer but Sa-vile shakes hands with Goody, George Parkinson, Jonno, Duncan and finally Mick Burchett. (As seen on TV and commentated on by Gerald Sinstadt when Southampton hosted Spurs at The Dell)

@@rosscassidy9781 Sunday. Duty Watch down the boat. All gathered in the mess to watch Sunday afternoon football. Trot holding up the broom stick aerial with wire coat hangers, and getting yelled at if he moved. Southampton home to Spurs. Your host Gerald Sinstadt. Play interrupted by fighting in the stands. Cameras zoom in to see Mick Burchett laying into the Spurs supporters. Sinstadt goes apocalyptic with a monologue and hopes the magistrates deal with Mick severely as he's arrested by the police. Big cheers in the mess. Monday morning. Mick comes down the boat. Black and Blue and all swollen up. Cops; realising he's a serviceman offer him the magistrates or their punishment. Mick takes their punishment thinking he'll mop out the cells. Do a bit of dusting and wiping down. Tray of tea and biscuits and so on. No! Back into the cells. Door closed. Truncheons out! Priceless memories. Priceless. Zepp went weekend with him, so that tells you something!
