Seinfeld couldn't stand for Short to get in zingers at his expense, and chose to go onto the offensive. He was funny - but it was über snarky Jerry. Martin's intention is to get his guest to react or snap.. like Jimmy Fallon did.. yet Jerry turned it around on him and got him to react, and nearly break character! Love how Jerry cut him back soo good..!!

Jerry did a great job, Jiminy Glick was not ready for the slights coming back at him. Very well written and a great performance.

It's great that these two comedy masters can do this in character ... Although we don't know how many retakes it took if one of them burst out laughing. The crew obviously has a difficult time not busting up. The edge definitely goes to Martin, but then he's perfected this act and Jerry is a guest so it makes sense he's funnier.

I think you have to give it to Seinfeld on points. After all, Jimney knew where he wanted to go with the interview, had planned his questions. JS was doing all his stuff off the cuff. But it was a great balance between the two. One of the better Glick interviews. Whatever happened to him?

I feel like Seinfeld, unlike every other Jiminy interviewee, failed to understand his "role" in this interview. I think he's been stumbling over his ego too much after the success of "Seinfeld." Jiminy is the star here, and every other celebrity he's interviewed understood that . . . including, even, Jerry Lewis.

Agree that the funniest is the crew cracking up in the background..... like the early filmed bit by Abbot & Costello of 'Who's on First?'

Jerry try his best to get some low blows in early, knowing deep down that he's surely inviting the pain. Short dismembers him with back to back to back blows.

This is one of the best. The traded roasts going back and forth are gold. "So you are... kind of a _barnacle_ ... on the hull... of show-business." "(as jerry) whyyy... do people.... oh I didn't remember the rest but..." "I've never seen a shirt were the _collar_ ... goes straight up like that..." "Some people would say that the _eyes are dead_ ... and there's a nothingness there..." "So there's a person... that will... allow _you_ ... to lie on top of them... for 8 to 11 minutes... at least 4 times."

Because its been cancelled for years. Martin Short is the best but this show was about the character of Jiminy Glick, not the celebs...but good luck finding enough celebs that can laugh at themselves and not be insecure...that's why the show didn't last....its really too bad though!
