Giraldo was able to make Martin Short break character at 3:46 I've never seen a guest reverse Glick on himself so effortlessly... Two geniuses at work here..

Man, dont you hate it when you're about to add a comment and just happen to scroll through to see if anyone else made the same observation and then you see it. Then the question is 1. Be angry and dont thumb 2. Ignore and comment anyway 3. Thumb up comment and laugh knowingly feeling a sense of comraderie. 4. Thumb up and write a very long anecdote to make up for your loss of recognition. Four. I chose option four. Then there's this ugly thorn in my side about Short breaking in some other video. Well. Looks like Filthyrich has got us both over a barrel.

It’s selfish, but I wish Greg would have held on a while longer. He really brought a lot of joy to me, and the world. It was good to see Martin break with a real laugh and then instantly ‘suck it up’ and stay in character. I wonder whose idea it was to take the interview in that direction? RIP

@NamIsIll OMG...I had NO IDEA that Greg Giraldo died until I saw your comment here. I had a major life change in Sept. 2010 so I missed the news about his death. This is shocking to me. I used to watch his comedy sometimes on Comedy Central in the U.S.

Miss Greg. Another guy who would've slayed with Martin in these interviews would've been Patrice O'Neal. Patrice oddly worked well with old school comedians like Pat Cooper, Kevin Meaney, Colin Quinn and Jackie Mason to name a few.

Martin Short, in hindsight, probably shouldn’t have done this skit with him. He died a year later. He was likely suffering when this piece was done. It couldn’t have been helpful, given his condition.
