Another favourite of mine! His songs and style take me back to the country roads, our growing up years, memorable times when life was uncomplicated, simple and a fun-filled good life!..with family, friends and the environment. To all out there...Enjoy!

Love this. Brings back memories. Hard to think it was a hit once. Words are wonderful. Loved it then and still do. I think I was about 8 when I used to listen to this on my brother's transistor radio. Can't get over how many other Aussie fans are on here. I wasn't the only captivated kid who loved this song.

Such a catchy song from my childhood but now that I've grown to understand God's word more, that lyric "...If man has earned his paradise the other side of time" isn't according to the scripture as Salvation is gifted to us, not earned. Catchy song though!

Me too, but not at my Nana's house. Driving up to Queensland for a road trip and hearing while we were driving along was great.

Good job, love the track. It starts a bit sudden but love the images.

Tim Kingston Yeah, the only downside, perhaps I should try and fade the start in without losing to much of the track, see how I go.

Unfortunately the audio you have posted has the start clipped and the song is also running TOO FAST compared to the original Dot release.

+ausfan100 This version I purchased from Jimmie Rodgers website, so can't do much about the start being clipped and the speed, but do know I own the 45rpm dot single and it plays at the same pace.

+Wayne Kapp - If this upload of yours matches the speed of your 45 as you claim, your turntable is clearly running too fast. My Dot single times out at 2:45 which matches the time shown on the Dot record label. Your upload here runs 2:37 which, even allowing for the half second missing at the start of your posting, is some 7 or 8 seconds too fast.

So what, it's just a tune, I like this version, if you don't, then don't listen to it, it's that easy.

+Wayne Kapp - You're right, I don't, which is precisely why I posted about your sloppy upload and to alert others to it's inaccuracy.
