My late and much missed wife's all time favorite all around entertainer, and with good reason. Genius of the highest order.

Mike Pinder of the Moody Blues liked this song so much that he talked the other members of the band into naming one of their early 70's albums : "In Search of the Lost Chord.'

priceless. my family used to sing the original 'lost chord' now and then around the piano in this semi solemn way. seeing this is terrific

This man was an absolute gem. This is out and out comedy but he was capable of lovely sentimental stuff, either straight or mixed with comedy. He had a most wonderful personality which was a joy to behold. Check out some of the other postings, particularly "One Room Home". Here you will see a wonderful performer, at one with his audience, rewarded with a standing ovation at the end. It is one of my favourites.

When I was very young, my little brother used to push down the nose of a stuffed animal and say "Everybody wants to get into the act". Now I finally get it, but I have no idea where he got the idea from.
