@@OhioCoastie94 *Wrong.* The song was released as the 3rd track on the album _Bleed American_ on the week of July 17, 2001-so the summer _before_ 9/11. In fact, to avoid apparent misinterpretation by idiots, after 9/11 the album and its title song were temporarily re-named _Jimmy Eat World_ and _Salt Sweat Sugar_ respectively, until 2008 when both album and song were restored to original name _Bleed American_ . The song was later re-released as a single in October 2001. However for sure everything was already conceived, written, recorded in 2000 and ready for release by Summer 2001, so this song is a decidedly a creative product of the halcyon days of the pre-9/11 era.

...SONG OF THE DAY!!! 🤘🏿ROLOTA🤘🏿

For as many decades I've been the hired guitarist to back up singers, and I have played this solo for the last couple of years for these singers, it is TOTALLY AWESOME to see the singer playing this solo (respectfully, to the fucking point he can)! I know it's one thing to pay for it and another to sell it yourself. For as much as I love this tune, and definitely the solo, it is awesome to see the singer being the fucking guitarist here. As much as I wish I would've worked on my singing as much as guitar playing, I wish more singers (and songwriters like him, I assume) would make me not have to play guitar so much! I'm glad I looked for a live version of this...I need to get my singing chops together ;)
