I saw Jimmy and Eddie in Berkeley one month before Jimmy passed. They were great together. Jimmy talked to me at length and played my request "Honest I Do" after the break. He told me to be sure to come up to him again at the next gig so he would remember me. The sweetest man ever and then he was gone. My heart was broken.

Ok let’s go political; Jimmy hooked this 14 year old white kid on the blues and made this now 72 year old man love and play the Harp and his entire family is one of the most gracious and genuine families I have ever met. But if We are to preserve American Freedoms, it will be Ted Nugent types and Black Conservatives, why Black Conservatives? That's an Airline. They were made of Reso-o-glass, which I'd take to mean some kind of fibreglass (that's what we call it in the UK, anyway). If you search for 'J.B. Hutto - Thank You For Your Kindness' you'll see JB playing one. He gets a lovely, cutting slide tone on it. The bass player is playing a Teisco Del Rey, which is a cool looking bass, and he manages to finish lighting his cigarette while playing one handed at the start of the song! Rory Gallagher's playing an Airline in 'Rory Gallagher - I Wonder Who - Montreux 1985 (live)'. Oh, some blokey named Jack White played one for a while. Not really my cup of tea. Floyd Smith plays a slightly different but equally cool model in 'Wild Bill Davis w Floyd Smith gtr - Without A Song 1972 France (Live Video).' There's a lovely moment at 0.47 where Floyd hits a bum note and the drummer gives him a great "What was THAT!?" look. Eastman guitars make them now, but these days they're made of the more standard mahogany.
