This interview is so frustrating. It seems more like the interviewer is trying to prove he did research, rather than asking questions and letting the guest speak. We aren't here to hear this interviewer, we are here to listen to the guest.........ask good questions, and shut up.

They are trying to weed through the life of the person, to get to a certain point and focus on it. If you let the person ramble, you probably won’t get the stories you’re looking for. This is an intentional tactic from the interviewer to focus on the sections of the persons life they like.

Having an opinion that aligns with a bunch of other people, doesn't make you a 'snowflake'. The interviewer kept cutting the man off. It was frustrating, because I'm not here to listen to the interviewer. Maybe you're the snowflake.

The fact that this dude is prolly pushing 60, came to the US when he was 12, and still speaks with a wild accent/not fluent English shows you how wild Chinatowns used to be. Completely isolated microworlds in the middle of cities. People would live, work, and die for 50+ years in a 10 block radius never leaving

He should explain more in depth that there is a legend at Rykers Island about the famous Chinese Kung Fu fighter called grasshopper and right there that beat every race there. The guy was a good fighter. There were former Jamaican gangsters that I saw their interview and they said he existed and he saw that guy knocked people over tables and took on 10-15 guys. The guy was a badass.

He’s a legend on Rikers island. Apparently he fought quite a bit and one time the guards rushed him in the chow hall. He did a back flip over them, landed on the ground and proceeded to beat the heck out of the guards.
