I saw a little bit of their Melbourne 2020 show, never thought I’d hear someone go from soft emotional singing to semi-rapping to pop diva-esque belting, accentuated with deep growls from the depths of hell and then right back like nothing happened. Best metal discovery of the year for me along with Voyager. These guys should do Eurovision, first metal band to win! 😆 (No, Lordi doesn’t count) Just gotta weave some Ukrainian folk music and vyshyvanky in there somewhere. 😋

The main commonality between Jinger and Nightwish is musicianship. Both bands are absolute virtuosos on their instruments, and would sound amazing regardless of the singer, but both are fortunate to have incredible talent at the microphone. Stylistically, there is a lot of space between the two groups, but they both excel in their particular lanes. This is the first song where I have enjoyed the growling, I found it matched the song perfectly, the whole "pisces" theme. I usually find growling distracting to the song, and I understand there are many who prefer that method of singing, so I'm not disparaging it. For me, it's similar to opera, I choose not to listen to much of it ... but it is an art form that should exist for those who love it, and Tatiana is amazing at performing it. It doesn't hurt that she has an excellent regular singing voice as well. I truly enjoyed your Jinger/Jynger moment, and look forward to your journeys on the Nightwish and Jinger trail. The sights and sounds you will hear are wonderous, and if you are at all like me, will change your life. Well done!

i m kinda particular to the growling i like too, this includes so called melodic death metal - viking style lile Amon Amarth... as well some very specific bands like Gojira and Ne Obliviscaris and of course the occasional growling parts on Ayreon projects, old Revamp...and Jinjer

Jynger -- My simple take regarding her "Satanic" voice: If you were a selfless fish (Pisces) who wanted to see the world but was a bit skittish, and then got into the nets and was hooked by handsome butchers who proceed to rip away your scales and entrails (emeralds)... you'd growl too! So you see, sometimes the lyrics call for extreme vocals in a song. Tatiana (who's not singing as someone possessed, so you can toss the garlic back into the spaghetti sauce) wrote an incredible story and sang about it the way it deserved to be sung... as with most of her songs. Some vocalist just keep singing in their nice and charming voice even when the lyrics call out desperation. Not so with Tati. Her extreme expression - a rare ability - adds so much more to a song... especially if you follow the music with the lyrics and how the beautiful cacophony tells the story. Thx!

It's incredible you didn't know Jinjer slaps haha. ;) Subbed. Back in the day, Tatiana heard Otep growl and was shocked to learn Otep Shamaya is a woman, and was inspired to learn. Now she in turn is inspiring others. So goes the circle of metal. :) \m/ \m/ There were like two dozen must-see Jinjer videos before Wallflowers and now its about 3 dozen heh (ok, so there aren'tvideos for all of them). Perennial live at Wacken is a good next step. The concert video overshadows the official video but its great too and some folks have done double features. I'm not greedy, really... :p Cheers!

Speaking of covers, I watched your reaction to NW's Ghost Love Score. You should check out Yanis Papadopoulos, the male lead singer of power metal band Beast In Black covering it. They opened for NW and it won't upset the NW fans. His cover of Let It Go from Frozen is amazing too but doesn't get a lot of views on YT but definitelywatch it for fun. And ofc the way she slips in and out of her natural voice and her "power voice" is pretty dang impressive. Enjoy the many music journey's you're on :D

They are from Donetsk in eastern Ukraine, where the fighting started in 2014. Tatiana has said that she would never give lessons. She is mostly self taught, and what works for her , might not work for others. This live session was done to showcase Vlad on drums, as he had joined not long before this. He, Roman (guitar), and Eugene (bass) are all awesome musician. Vlad is a classically trained pianist. They are now back on tour. The guys were finally allowed to leave Kiev a couple months ago. He puts more emotion in his songs, lyrically and vocally than any other artist. His videos are second to none, he has a beautiful voice, and he can Rap, Rock, Growl, or sing a Ballad with more passion and clarity than any other artist. Most of the time he mixes genres in a song. I'd like to start you off with the song "The Drug In Me Is Reimagined" which is a remake of a song he wrote and released in 2011 called "The Drug In Me Is you". I would say react to both in the same video so you see what changes he did or just skim through the original and react to "The Drug In Me Is Reimagined". Amazing reaction my friend Jinjer!!....In 2017, the music world was shocked by the bursting onto the scene of a 22-year-old singer named Dimash Kudaibergen, who performed on the famous Chinese competition show for professional singers called “The Singer”... It was just It was necessary for this young man to make his first appearance, making a cover of one of the most difficult songs in the world, a famous French composition called "S.O.S. D'un Terrien En Détresse", to be considered from that moment on as the best singer in the entire planet....No one in the musical field had ever seen a human being, being able to reach vocal ranges above 7 octaves and several semitones, that is, all 88 keys of a digital piano, which reaches a little more than 7 octaves and as if that weren't enough, sing the more than 12 languages...Since then all kinds of experts (Vocal coach, analysts, singing teachers, youtubers, reactors, etc.) have dedicated themselves to reviewing their presentations to try to understand how someone can sing this way...The incredible thing is that that presentation in China was in 2017 and 5 years have passed since then, but what Dimash has done in these 5 years is to further improve his wide vocal range, which is currently practically above of the 8 octaves... The Covid pandemic stopped his concerts worldwide, all with tickets sold in just seconds, via the internet, but at the same time it ended up catapulting him to the top of popularity worldwide...Anyway, since I think you are one of those reactors who have not yet met this impressive singer, here is the link of that presentation in China in 2017, with the song S.O.S. and I would like you to mention my name as the person who recommended him to you...You have to be prepared because you are going to receive an avalanche of views, comments and new subscribers....I leave you one more recent video than the others, so it does not have the same number of views as the previous ones, which have millions of views, but it is a more complete video, with an intro, subtitles in several languages and with the improved quality of audio and sound....kzitem.info/news/bejne/w3qOmXqepqt_lJg
