Joan was a very educated, direct with nothing holding her back which is something I respected about her. She had balls. RIP to the woman who made me laugh like no other.

Everyone saying she was funnier later, she was just as racy then as she was in later years. The difference is that the public become more edgy and as we did, so did her comedy. She couldn’t say in the 60s and 70s what she was saying in the 2000s. Joan always pushed the envelope in accordance with the times. Love her!

This was TV in the 1970s. Even if her stand up was edgy, it would have to be toned down for TV. People forget how censored television used to be.

It also depends largely understand you. Even in the 70s and 80s night club Joan was incredibly racy, while prime time Joan was squeaky clean.

Ms Rivers never fully got the flowers she deserved. Ms Rivers, along with the likes of Mr Carlin,should have been awarded the Mark Twain Prize, Kennedy Center Honors , and much more. Ms Rivers is a true LEGEND, she brought us so much joy and laughter for over 50 years and blessed us with her wit, charm and beauty. A true icon....

I love and miss her. I grew up in the 70's and was madly in love with her. Today as a mid 50's man, I now know what it was about her that turned me on as even a young kid. I dont see much of that today. Carol , Lucy are why I love "Reds". Lol. Seeing this makes me feel as if I could just reach behind the seat and grab a big bag of all of this and sit it right next to me. These were good times in America.

love her pacing and cadence. Very spot on. If anyone knows where to find her bluer and darker more raw sets from the underground clubs please lemme know! She knew how to throw down brutal sets. Definitely my top 5 favorite comedians of all time.

What a great intro. from Carol. Love the comradery between these women - Carol was friends with Lucy, who used to watch Mary Tyler Moore work & would later guest on Joan's late night show. Talented legends all. And Carol is terrifying on Law & Order: SVU - didn't know she had it in her!

I think she was very nervous on this show because it's Carol Burnett! The beginning was a little rough and the audience was giving her nothing. I love her earlier stuff rather than the stuff towards the end because she was dropping F bombs. Didn't need that for laughs.
