I fly out tomorrow for the Chicago Marathon, but beforehand, I want to share why I chose to fundraise for the Brain Injury Recovery Foundation. It's all about my sister Joanne, and her stroke.
I thought if I can help a few families who are also recovering from a brain injury or trauma of some sort just by running some miles, well, that's got to be worth doing. I know how hard it has been for Jojo, Julia, the rest of the family and her friends. This many families go through, and resources help.
This interview with Joanne is for her thoughts on the matter. And she likes the idea. It's part of 2 of our chats we had on Monday night.
Thanks everybody for your support. More from Chicago. And if you'd like the donation link, just ask in the comments or DM me.
Cheers,
Geoff
