Not to make your comment about me but I love when I see something like this where you clearly didnt intend it this way but "Jason" is a five letter name with no repeating letters, just like the word Logic.... If you go back through all the teachers it is Logic that taught all of Jason's teachers. It is what made the other five letter words like "words", "teach" and "exact". It is what makes the word "makes" and decides that COVID will be a Virus that plagues us for our blatant lack of dedication to logic/reason (what kind of idiots play with bat viruses at some sketchy lab in China?....us thats who!) It is what WROTE the TORAH and dedication to it is what made MOSHE better than Pharaoh. Ill leave it there but you see how sometimes people dont see the "chord" of meaning they strike when they say something like "jason taught me to shoot straight" (paraphrasing)... Indeed! Jason/Logic is what makes all MINDS or even the numerical sequence 12345 itself "shoot straight".... JASON=LOGIC when J=L, A=O, S=G and so on...

@@PlanetaryHQ did you actually read it? It’s pretty clear what the point is. All existing (logical) things come from logic. Logic is the teacher of teachers…the ruler of rulers… It is supreme. If that wasn’t clear hopefully it is now. You cannot argue with it without defying logic and also inadvertently using logic/logos (your mind) at the same time. If you do not understand this you do not yet understand God I would say. It does take time, but don’t think you’ve beaten me by declaring what I said to be “nonsense”….ask yourself what something even makes sense or is nonsense according to, and you’ll find it’s either according to your own subjective views (in which case who cares it’s not objective so keep it to yourself) or it would be sense/nonsense according to the construct of logic, our one TRUE and LOGICAL God, by whose rules all things, including logical reasoning (logos/consciousness) operate and exist. You cannot defy this God and get away with it. If you do not know him you will be dumb and blind.

Thanks, Jocko, for this pair of podcasts on Joshua Chamberlain. My copy of Bayonet! Forward! arrived today. I'd read Killer Angels as a young ROTC cadet in the late 80s, in between enlisted and commissioned (27 years combined) service. A great read, but nothing like hearing the inspiring, noble man in his own words (as uttered by Jocko's gravelly voice).

So what does Chamberlain's description of the reconciliation of Union and Confederate soldiers at Appomattox tell us about the frenzy to remove statues and memorials to Confederate soldiers. How dare we remove these testaments to the courage, misplaced as it might have been, of the Confederate soldiers? Would their Union brothers condemn this movement to sully their reputations? If the men who were at risk of being killed did not object to recognizing the struggles and courage of their opponents how can we?

I love this podcast and what it stands for but I must respectfully disagree with Jocko on his statement that the Civil War was fought to end slavery or that it was the only way to rid this country of the terrible practice. Jocko has obviously studied at length the war strategy and tactics involved in the individual battles but it appears more study is needed of the politics of the time, not just domestically but internationally as well. This was the War of Northern Aggression and it was about the federal government’s refusal to concede power to the states. Secession was a right of the states and northern states had used it for leverage many times prior to this point in our nation’s history. If Lincoln wasn’t a tyrant, the South would’ve peacefully seceded, slavery would’ve gone away on its own shortly thereafter just like it did in every other country in the world, and eventually this nation would’ve broken apart into several much smaller nations similar to Europe. Most of our problems today stem from a federal government that can no longer be held in check by We the People. All of that started with the conclusion of this war.

Sadly, too many of today's people would not have respect and honor for their honorable erstwhile opponents/enemies at the end of a military struggle. Our nation and nation's people have lost so much when they turned their backs to their God and on their fellow citizens for short and ephemeral political gains which neither lift the spirit of the individual or that of the larger nation. What a pity. Men need to be MEN of honor again, regardless of their differing opinions! This includes women too btw!

Logic=God You can only truly know it if you reason it for yourself so I will give you that as a "supreme gift". That is the final answer. Get to it yourself so you can understand why all other options would be illogical or less logical. The logical reason for all creation is logical reasoning (logos) itself, and the most reasonable ruler of all existence is the calibrator or rulers (measuring devices) itself, logic, who's rules all else either exists or does not exist because of. I hope that helps someone.
