People need to know that the sacrifice is real. The cost of war is real. And more than just the family carry’s the burden of loss. Their brothers in arms, carry it in a very unique way. I disaree, this needs to be shown. You can hear the tears of the cameraman. I had family in Vietnam, I grew up around WW2 Vets. The respect between these men who served needs to be remembered and passed on. The current generations need to learn from these men and their sacrifices. There is something bigger than themselves.

I couldn't agree more, man. It's not like it's edited disrespectfully or really long or like a private conversation at the wake or something. I think it does a service that's a net positive in our modern world. I think things like this might help drive home some respect for the sacrifice our men and women in uniform make to an increasingly out of touch and disrespectful populace. It reminds us all who aren't in the service that it's real and how it really impacts those in uniform way more than most things could.

They tend to be the type of person that doesn't want anyone to be happy, feel fulfilled, have desires/goals, be driven, etc when they lack that trait or state of mind. Like someone who wants everyone to be miserable when they are sad. It also could be envy. People lash out when they are envious or lack something that others may have.

I am British and a supporter of our British Armed Forces but I also support all Armed Forces of our Allies. It is always sad to see a Hero who serves his/her country die protecting not only their country but us all. My condolences and respect go to the fallen heroes family and friends plus the military family that they also leave behind. That's real life for ya my man. Trident is what the Seals cling to as their bond to the Team. Jocko is simply stating his trident and this brother of his are of utmost love for one another. I get it, and I see no harm as I also don't see the NAVY having an issue with it. Jocko is burying a part of himself with his brother in arms. A kind and brotherly love act.
