She seems like such a humble, down to earth person, and she is also a fantastic talented actress to boot. What a genuinely nice person she is.

I love how she answers that not having her father had no impact on her life because he simply wasn't around. Like she didn't take that to a dark place. I think we kinda train kids to feel ashamed for not having both a mom and a dad in the picture growing up and that's what causes most of the trauma.

Well, what she herself was describing isn’t healthy for a child though. It’s called “parentification.” For a parent to attach to his/her child as a replacement for an absent spouse is terribly unhealthy. It’s also called “emotional incest.” While I get where you’re coming from, especially because shame imposed by society can be just as damaging as losing a parent, it doesn’t mean that there aren’t real emotional wounds that occur as a result of a parental loss and the response of spouses and children who experience it. I disagree with you that Jodie “decided not to take that to a dark place.” From my point of view, that looks like denial.

I relate her being a hapless bystander in the John Hinckley assassination attempt to The Beatles and the Manson Murders. It's like it involves them, but not really . . . It's like these people go out and do these horrendous things over an obsession, but Jodie and The Beatles were not actually involved and had nothing to do with it.

Enjoy success with no regrets, because genuine positive relations with other people is extremely rare and difficult no matter what. Someone always wants to project something on you or to take something from you regardless of circumstance. I'm pretty anonymous and people generally give me a hard time every day. I think maybe the difference between being famous and being unknown is that the same kinds of people who bug you when you're famous will also abuse you because you're not. I find personally that being kind and genuine toward others will bring levity to such situations. Peace & love!

Just been reading your comments the past minute or two and you seem to have a lot of negativity about, either, the gay lifestyle, Jodie or both. You shouldn't let that negativity eat you up inside and consume you the way it appears to do. Don't be angry at someone for being successful. This comments section will be the most attention and fame you'll ever receive. Congratulations on all your success there, guy. If the Westboro Baptist Church ever starts handing out awards, get a trophy cabinet...

he seems highly preoccupied by lesbians, I think his wife/girlfriend left him for another woman. Or like a friend of mine once drunkenly confessed to me, that his hatred of Ellen Degeneres, had less to do with her sexuality, and more to do with his jealousy over the hotness of her wife.

Reluctant how ? So reluctant she kept doing movies for 35 years ? So many actors/actresses say they don't want their career, etc... yet there's no A or B or C level star who has ever just straight up sold their mansion, moved to Arizona or Iowa, and taken a job at Walmart or anywhere else.

I got everything and more from writing it. I mean, 3 months later and it's still getting attention and replies? Perfect! Like I said earlier, this wasn't about awarding talent. This was rewarding a lifestyle to make others accept her behavior. Not about acting or careers. Many better people deserved accolades above her.
@emmaduncan2991

"rewarding a lifestyle to make others accept her behavior" I don't think anyone is forcing you to accept her behaviour, your preoccupation with who she chooses to love, pretty much tells everyone, what your real problem with Foster is. as much as you wish it were not true, the fact remains, Foster's acting talent is accepted worldwide, possibly more so then Meryl Streep. and as much as you wish it weren't true, not only is she regarded as one of America's finest actors, she is widely considered, one of the best currently on the planet. just because you take issue on who she dares to love, does not take away her talent, of which Gene Siskel called "freakishly good."

John Hinckley Jr. is the greatest American hero and the world's greatest gun-owning freedom fighter that should have won the Noble Peace Prize for shooting the our-of-control tyrant President Reagan in 1981!!!! HE, along with Lynnette Fromm, and Sarah Jane Moore, should have been just wristed slapped by the judge and let go free for defending America's freedom and liberty. If I was on the fury of their trials in court, then in jury deliberations, I would vote that the defendant is normal, sane, and INNOCENT!!!
