My Father Frank Dwyer wrote this song . I remember the day he wrote it and came out of his office and sang it. Just like that. Music and all. I hear it now most requested song in Newfoundland. Our family settled on Fogo in 1750's We are proud. He also wrote Gideon Brown's Boat made popular by Great Big Sea

Not heard this one before! My father was born in Joe Batt's Arm in 1913 but moved to England in 1937. I was born in England and I finally visited Fogo is 1996 with my cousins from Grand Falls. Great place, great song. Thanks! Terry McDonald

i Grew up as a young boy and spent many summers in Joe Batt's Arm at my Grandfathers cabin "Mark Brett" on Browns Road.. thank you for the memorys god i miss fogo island and tilting beach or "Sandy cove" great job guy's u deserve much more respect on this osng.. awesome job.. thanks for bringing up past memorys.
