J Cole at his core is a NICE GUY.....and the nice guy thing ain't NEVER going to work in hip-hop battles/beef. He ain't think none of this thru and ran with the hype. That act of submission is CRAZY, but at least he got out the kitchen when shit got to cooking. No more best ever talk, just Folding Clothes and Family Man Rap.

I've been saying the same thing. Cole is a nice guy, not a fighter. He been talking about being the best but that don't mean he wanna battle. Rap beef and disses take hostility and negativity towards someone and he don't have that bone in him. One listen to his music and you know that wasn't him. Also, EVERYBODY coming at Drake and Drake didn't back up Cole with his own record for days.

Kendrick went at Drake, not Cole. And it seems like others had beef with Drake and nit Cole. So he regretted a line, so what. It's not the end of the world, and according to the mixtape, he's still at the top.

Yeah but like Joe said , once you enter a beef it comes with a lot more than just battle over lyrics. I think to non musicians it seems like it could just be a sport but their relationships and lives change once you engage in one. For instance, Tupac’s diss to biggie in no way would allow them to be cool after and just pass it off as a “lyrical battle”. The fans don’t realize that and neither did Cole.
@TravelGuy7

Why is Budden’s opinion relevant? His photo is a chalk outline on Wikipedia. His career was one hit and a trail of empty beefs. He’s been a punching bag, Literally.

Cole is on different level. He's separating himself from all this negative energy. I don't see the big issue.

negative energy he called upon himself by going around saying he Mahomed Ali of the big 3. It's a disgrace to Mahomed Ali to take his stature and then apologize when an actual fight comes. It's also a disgrace to Cole because we now can't take his lyrics seriously
