He was an incredible boxer...he should be a household name. It's shameful that he didn't get more recognition.

Everyone was 'the next big thing' til they met the Italian dragon. Lacy was the next tyson, kessler was in his prime and a true warrior (not the shadow of his former self who fought froch the fraud.) Hopkins was actually in his prime when he fought calzaghe and even all his cheating in the book couldn't save him...

Mr Calzaghe's probably the best boxing documentary I've seen yet, everything went right, the interviews, the directing, the music, the pacing of fights shown and personal info. Great stuff.

Fragile hands? I do not agree, if you observe Calazaghe you will notice that being a boxer who relies on speed he needed to anticipate the opponent, anticipating the shots it happens that not all shots were executed with the correct trajectory, because he needed to anticipate the blow, his own reflexes his own speed that he needed sacrificed the accuracy and correctness of the starting movement of the fists, so sometimes you can see socks that do not have the elbows at 90 degrees when firing the hook, not you notice, but it may happen that a punch hits the opponent's hip or takes the head in a certain way, the opponent's shoulder, when you hit and you don't have your arms aligned well and your wrist aligned well it can happen that you do, badly, just a posture error and a hip taken on the opponent to break the wrist, the hand the general, everything here, was not a fragility in my opinion, it must also be said that he fired many more shots than his opponents is This aspect is also important

As a fighter of that level, UNDEFEATED, who, unlike floyd water, did not run, or had fights bought, this Joe was offensive, .as a boxer of that level, is he so underrated? Yes, of course, he was not American, but English, as well as the greatest heavyweight of all time Lennox Lewis.

Floyd beat 23 world champions most in their prime and never ran in his prime. Joes best win is kessler (a good win) then 3 HOFs past their primes and a jeff lacey who everyone eventually knew was a hype job. Great british fighter but as a brit myself he doesnt come close to mayweather

He aint english. He was a very good boxer, hard style to get the better of but he stayed at home too long. Left it too late to fight hopkins and jones who were way past their prime. Kessler was probably a better win for him.
