I had the distinct privilege to tour with Joe and play keys in his band. Without a doubt one of the greatest country voices I've ever heard. Spot on every night. Many of these so-called country artists today could stand to learn a few things about singing from guys like Joe!

The 90s is the decade of the best country music. We were spoiled rotten for a good 10-15 years. Even some legends like the Hag and the possum were still making great music. It's nice to hear someone with similar views!! No one ever gives credit to the late 80's to early 90's era. Country had its greatest sound during this period, as I argued once in a college paper! It had just figured out how to refine & get that perfect sound --not too pop but traditional sounds remained dominant! It died when Garth & Shania's sound started forcing Country to change it's sound.
