Joe Ide discussed "Wrecked: An IQ Novel" at the 2019 Library of Congress National Book Festival in Washington, D.C.
Joe Ide grew up in South Central Los Angeles, the setting for his series of crime novels featuring the character Isaiah Quintabe. His favorite books were the Arthur Conan Doyle Sherlock Holmes stories. He held a variety of different jobs, including Hollywood screenwriter, before writing "IQ," which went on to win the Anthony, Macavity and Shamus Awards for best debut novel. His latest publication is "Wrecked: An IQ Novel."
