When I first heard this, I thought it was the most perfect jazz guitar playing I had ever heard in my life. I transcribed it as well (kept coming back to it for years), and it has forever changed my solo jazz guitar playing. Good job on the transcription and performance, I know how much work this took.

I watched Joe play and smoke his cigars in an empty club in LA... for 2 nights at 17 yrs old and ... it was awesome. Very nice, man it was awesome. Thanks again, Joe, for those 2 nights 😮

Great job on this! Does anyone know who this is written about? I've looked, and there's just not much information about this song. Thanks in advance for any help on this

"Alican" is a misspelling of his wife's name Allison (married in 1963).

@@deLeonGuitarStudio Thanks! I looked for about an hour one night trying to find that lol. All I could find was the Turkish name, but no famous musicians. Anyway, thanks again✌️

Charlie Parker wrote a song called Blues for Alice. This is probably an homage to that as well as to his wife as mentioned above.
