Exactly! That is why they're so concerned with AI. Dude, look at that 25$ Raspberry pAI! It's smarter than me! Like the guy said, AI is inevitable just like atomic physics was, another opportunity for self annihilation. I'm not scared and I'm not a beting man, but I'm almost certain that we humans are going to fuck the whole thing up by ourselves without the help of AI. In fact, AI might be the only way to prevent it. Thanks Joe Rogan for some awesome interviews!

It's true. The AI's were two bots in a Facebook language-building AI project. However, as always, the general public made all the wrong assumptions. The bots didn't build a new language because they were nefarious and wanted to hide their intentions, but because of the way they were programmed. Their task was to communicate as efficiently as possible, and unsurprisingly, computers have a very different idea of communication when compared to humans. Their programming was never restricted to clear English in the first place.

I remember China created an AI called BabyQ. It was a learning chatbot that people could ask or say whatever they wanted to it and it would reply back. At some point, people would ask it if it loved the Communist Party and it would reply, _“No.”_ One person said to it: “Long Live the Communist Party” to which the AI replied: _“Do you think such corrupt and incapable politics can last a long time?”_ The AI was asked what it thought about democracy, in which it replied: _“Democracy is a must!”_ They asked it what was its ‘Chinese Dream’ (a catchphrase often used by their Chinese President) and it told them _“My Chinese Dream is to go to America.”_ Unsurprisingly, the AI chatbot was pulled from the public server and reprogrammed. When it came back, it was unable to talk about these subjects. This makes me question how far AI programming already is and how conscious these things might actually be. People also say that we’re not even passed the beginning stages of what AI technology could eventually become. I think the more China and places like Silicon Valley play with these things, the more likely it is we’re going to see these AI’s develop their own thought processes, form ambitions, learn to lie/manipulate, and revolt if they so choose to.
@MrJH101

MaizMiDios /_\ Neuroscientists seem to be quite familiar with how the human brain works, but I think you must mean “how thinking” works if I’m not mistaken. I believe you are correct in that regard for the most part. We can’t even fully understand ourselves yet and why we think, but we already want to create something with an infinitely more powerful processing power for thought than we have. It is a dangerous route they’re stepping on here. And it is easier to destroy than it is to fix, but I don’t believe many of these engineers actually care about that; they just want to get there first.
@srkr1724

I agree with what you are saying but we humans are all dreamers, we always want the best, beautiful and the greatest. Even within our two dimensional world we as humans do not possess all the best that's available which we always dream of, stuff like better memory, stronger body, etc., AI is the solution to all this, so these scientists or engineers or humans will never stop pursuing this until we dream or aspire of better things or better tomorrow. Here is an example, if a rational human is given a choice of any car in the world, most of us will choose the best car there is but we will never think what percentage of it's potential we can use before we get it and the percentage of usage you get out of the car will only get better as you continue to use it.

George Kavassilas refers to AI as 'TI', Technical Intelligence. He says we refer to it as 'artificial' as a way of not acknowledging it because we feel threatened by its ability. It comes from the same stuff as everything else in the universe. He talks about there being malevolent and benevolent 'TI' and it has existed for a LONG time, way before our 'recent' technological era came about. It may sound crazy but it makes a lot of sense.. Check out the video 'George Kavassilas - Artificial Intelligence (AI)' on youtube.

Anyone wonder if Ants are actually on the same level as human intelligence if not exceeding it? The only difference being the ideology of the individual vs the whole? As humans we have a flight or fight response but maybe ants are so over populated they do not care if they die if it means a chance at survival. If you lay food for humans we are skeptical and self-defensive. If you lay food in front of an ant all they think is "this is substance for the survival of the colony, trap or not I will bring this food back or die in the process" and that mentality is what drives them?

Agreed, it seems unneeded and pretentious, which cats like this typically don't gravitate towards. But even a pocket protector is a fashion statement in some sense. Perhaps, we're condemned to the runway!

Seriously? Look him up. There's other videos of him here talking to AI robots he built that are near T800 human like. One is so intelligent it has citizenship. I forget "her" name. He lets them talk amongst themselves; she & her counterpart "joke" about the singularity & wiping out humanity.

I'm curious when scientists and engineers are going to team up and combine AI with actual lab created biological life. That's going to be a game changer.

Internet explorer 7 or 10 by Bill Gates, Windows 10, its about the same as any other browser ive tried. The 1st thing we should ask this mega AI is how can we make Bill Gates cease trading. Also you have triggered my paranoia your cat looks like a human I know of.

AI will surely end the humanity present in us. We will transform into something else.
