1:25:44 Unhealed trauma gets passed on to the next generation. It is normal that it shows up in your genes and manifests in terms of illnesses and or what we attract in our lives. It's podcasts like these that make me seriously consider hosting a new kind of podcast myself - a podcast for the other guys, the ones that say (like me), 'I tried all that as much as I could, but i'm not getting anywhere', or 'you don't understand, my situation is different, I can never succeed like you two did', or things like that. I really feel that so many people listen and are inspired, but they're also trapped by the inevitability of having tried before and failed repeatedly - but they KEEP LISTENING. Maybe a different kind of podcast that speaks more specifically to this group, maybe focusing more on all the tiny baby steps that need to be taken, bc those are all that they can do bc to others they are baby steps but to these ppl they are MONSTROUS. If anyone else here has had the same idea I would love to hear your thoughts.

I think there is a desperate need for this type of content, especially to reach men that are struggling. For me personally, I think Dr. K has a lot of good content in this vein that also comes from the perspective of a clinical psychiatrist. He has helped me out significantly, but we still need many more voices. The problem is that men are often ridiculed for generally having a hard time, and any difficulty in general is met with shame instead of and form of practical support.

The bigger the society the bigger the impact on every individual, because the individual becomes less and less important but the society they are part of becomes more and more significant. So while you are a "part" of something great so is everyone else and would move on the same without the individual and people have a hard time dealing with that.

Instead of shaming the feeling of jealousy when it comes up, we can recognize it as a signal that there is something in the other party or about the other party that we admire and that we may also want to have. Sometimes it simply highlights the parts of us that we feel insecure about and that we may want to work on.

It is interesting what they talk about genetics, I believe that genetics does determine who we are, the more genetically ingrained something is, the greater its tendency to go out and pass on to new generations. But there are 2 things that make up who we are as a species and that will always be genetically stronger. 1) It's the ability to socialize, no matter what you are like, we all need someone. it is one of the things that helped us to survive, not only against the environment but also against other homo, the ability of homosapiens to collaborate with each other was the reason why we were able to extinguish other homo species. 2) The ability to change, is literally our greatest strength, no matter how ingrained something is in our genetics, over the generations it can be changed, because the ability to change is much more ingrained in our genetics than anything else. And it makes sense, if at the base of all our genetics was not the ability to change to adapt to the environment we would be extinct. It is not that we are more than our genetics and that is why we can change, it is that genetically we are made to adapt according to the circumstances, that is why we are such a successful species. The ability to change will always be stronger than any genetic tendency or shortcut you have coded in your genes.

The NHS is still good at Emergency response and critical care but because of lower funding and an aging population, increasingly bad at treatment of non-lethal conditions eg. Check ups, hip replacements etc. Also compared to America, prescriptions cost WAY less to maintain. Basically its quite good if your diabetic or get hit by a car, but if you need simple surgery to correct a non life threatening problem, you either need to wait 10x longer than you would in the US or pay out of pocket to get seen privately.

They speak early on about people in the U.S. being generally more supportive of people who have more than they do, whereas in the UK, there is an attempt to bring down such people. I can say that my faith gives me the reason to be supportive of people who have more than I do. If God has so blessed or gifted that other person with more things, then who am I to be envious of that? Be satisfied with what you have, and if you are not, work harder so that you can have more. But stop comparing yourself to others, nothing useful comes out of it.

Loved this one, enjoying all these releases on KZitem... i only had to skip through the part about papa new guinea tribes and what they do to the poor boys in the tribe starting a 6 yrs old... as a woman with a 5 yo son, yeah.. I could not handle listening to that.. I've never heard that about that tribe and that's one of the saddest most disgusting things I've ever heard and after hearing it.. my God I will never desire any more knowledge about that tribe. And what's fucked up is someone had to go and contact that tribe to discover those rituals...even though I WILL NEVER look up the facts from that research, common sense tells me the researcher was most likely a grown ass adult man showing up doing the research.. and you would think the tribe leaders would be like "woah, how did this man grow up when he hasn't been filled with semen and sodomized during his childhood and adolescence" .. it seems like that would be a wake up call. I'm so disgusted and sad knowing that info to be honest, those people think there's no other way. I could have lived my life without that anecdote for sure. Yuck 🤮

I reckon that Strangely enough Barack Obama was America’s most interactive socially than other president s. Others are more arrogant and self indulgent. His Speeches involved the listener as did his visual interaction. One mostly hears complaints about his political judgment. But otherwise otherwise it turned out that One of The US’s best President s was their First Black President. Of course his being a leader at the same time That President Nelson Mandela Ran South Africa did a lot to interact with one another & assist in Social Impact. I realise that’s got very little to do with anything. But one grows tired of the Biden Trump bullshit. Merely equal but on the opposite side of the scale
