It's amazing how many people were fooled by Oprah and others it's just amazing to watch black people around the world just take advantage of whites especially in Africa don't get me wrong there are alot of blacks that don't do like the rest they have done the right thing in life thanks to their parents not like know they mamas are hooked on drugs selling there food stamps for more drug money then get jj and Al to get on national news saying how evil the white man is not give them enough money to be able to feed the kids but this lady got 950 in stamps with four kids if the lady got 2 thousands she would have spent all that on drugs so it would never be enough money I want to say to all white people it's cool to have black friends but don't ever borrow them money under any circumstances especially when they say I got you when I get my taxes that's the oldest b.s there is but if you feel that you just have to cause they give you a guilt trip don't do it you lose out and if you ask for your money back when it's time for it to be paid back they can sue you for harassment don't believe me look up all the cases on judge Mathis where this has happened not only did the white lady lose her original letter loan of 1500.00 but got sued for 2000 more and the judge gave her that and you got nothing except a 3500.00 lesson beware be cautious never look an any amount of money not only to them but to all nothing just trying to help

They're talking as if Oprah Winfrey wrote the book The Secret.. She didn't it was written by Rhonda Byrne. The secret is just a very simple introduction to the idea that we are Powerful and can influence our reality. It is a good introduction to those who have never come across the idea before. It is not to be taken too seriously. There is a huge amount more to understanding the laws of the universe and how to create your own reality.

In the documentary on Netflix they talk about how you have to write down your goals, constantly work at them, and keep your eyes on the prize and opportunities will begin to present themselves based on what you are focusing on and who you are surrounding yourself with as well as the effort and hard work you are putting in. One of the doctors in the movie says that your words and actions have to align with your goals or you are just "wishfully thinking". The concept of the secret does get misconstrued because people are overlooking what the doctor in the documentary said and are focusing solely on the positive thinking aspect of The Secret.

I think the problem is that you need to envision yourself full or having lots of food. Now if you are really starving, it's incredibly HARD to imagine yourself full. You are way more likely to notice the LACK of food and so that's your focus. I'm not saying that I believe the law of attraction, but that to me is not necessarily a good example. I think what's more problematic with it is babies born with diseases etc.. When did they have time to attract that??

Oprah is an incredible salesperson and she is every bit as responsible for the Secret wasting people's time, as the author is. I'm so glad those days are behind me. Oprah has personal stories where her positive mindset worked for her, but I think if you questioned her, she would admit smarts, hard work, some luck, good looks, and business skills came together to make her the success she is. It was lucky for her that she tapped into feminist issues and interest in talk shows when she did because Phil Donahue plowed the way for her.

Did you just call Oprah "good looking"? Lol. She's not ugly, but I couldn't call her attractive really. Anyway, she was black woman who was decent at chatting with people, and wanting to be a black talk show host at a time when society was trying to start not being racist anymore. It could be that simple. Kinda like how nobody seems to really be able to name any black comedians before Richard Pryor, but he was world famous. Some people are really good at what they do, but luck and timing are the BIGGEST factors, whether you believe in LOA or not. IDC what anyone says, "hard work" and "talent" and "intellect" only equate to success in a world where those are valued/ rewarded over a lack of them. In ours, they're not. We have just as many dumb untalented lazy people who are rich and famous, and hence: success is luck.

In order to put in the effort to achieve something, you need to: 1. get clear on what you actually want to establish direction (which, surprisingly, is not necessarily a straightforward process and it might make you realize you didn’t actually know what you wanted in life because you’ve been too busy to really think about it), 2. believe it’s possible, and 3. be on the lookout for opportunity (i.e. expect it). The Secret teaches all of this. It really is all about establishing a success mindset, so I think it can work. In spite of this, I still find the esoteric elements of the Secret fun and intriguing. It breaks up the monotony of the grind.

My belief is in line with us bein ATOMS if you take that literally you would be amazed as to the shifts a body can experience. I even wondered at one time if it was a hypnotic thing or subliminal thing...I just see a person different. Peoples persception can make a big difference...shifting perspective, not positive thinking...it is a perspective shift and then the material thing happens. I love you. I would love to play with you. It is ALL ENERGY. that's it, but I am so happy that science has finally joined what we energy transformers have always known. Kinda follows that line of thinking. In other words, the "matrix", the "field" ...both are what we always knew as the "ethers". Unfortunately, it takes science to validate what some of us just had faith in. Faith, Belief in an unseen reality. Trust with a smear of love a little imagination on the side hold the doubt, most people are allergic to it....(from the Recipe for Faith).

Echo chambers dont make things more true just because you hear it said multiple times. Believing doesnt make reality. It just means you believe it is reality because you give up at some level to see what's holding up the images being shown to you. It happens to us all and thus our children will know more than we do... unless we instil values such as faith holds more value than skeptical investigation.
