As someone who's interacted closely with cultures from that part of the world, use of the community platter is their weird way of instilling camaraderie. It's also a conniving way by the food distributors, usually the head of a clan, tribe, or whatever to save on food supplies and shame anyone asking for more. They avoid using utensils because they consider those a western tool that supposedly eliminates taste from the meal and prevents digestive chemicals released by the fingers when you clump up morsels before putting them in your mouth. I've been invited multiple times to such community platters. Personally I've given in a couple times as a gesture of goodwill but the reality of a community platter stands in stark contrast to its conceptual purpose. You always have 1 guy who clumps more from the plate than you, and unless you do the same, you're left with the least amount to grab. From their perspective, the food is god's decision about the amount a person deserves to eat. Their economics, math, and code of conduct are really off. This practice can be observed through the entire region, not just Somalia. Sure nuances exist.

@@Farhan917 You are an idiot since you don't understand that I wasn't saying that you even included the word pirates in your sentence. Idiot. I said the original comment had the word "pirates" after it, meaning it isn't "Somalis pirates". You fucking corrected him incorrectly. It is also very funny how you try to correct me when I just saw your now deleted comment too, full of mistakes. Not shocking you deleted it. "How I am an idiot for correcting someone? This is why education is very important about the world you are living in" How do you even have the audacity to correct someone on their english when you literally wrote a comment like this? It's "How am I an idiot for correcting someone? This is why education about the world we are living in is important" that is the correct way of writing this sentence. So not only is your ability to understand logical things, like me referring to the original comment saying "pirates" and not you, absolutely flawed BUT you also resort to calling someone an idiot for correcting you when you were not clear enough on your corrections. You know that rhetoric is also just as important as knowing about the world we live in, maybe you should do a course on it?

People who talk trash and start beefs for no reason are rewarded with title fights and stardom while polite, respectful fighters are seen as boring. Dana White keeps saying, "Oh, this is the fight business, and there is nothing we can do", but a key part of martial arts used to be to always respect your opponent. I wish whoever uploads these clips would do the audience the courtesy of identifying who the guests are. I'm not American and I have no idea who Joe is talking to. The link in the description also goes to a private video so it is no help.
