Colleges are bad. I went to college back in the early 90's and I took a few classes recently and there was a night and day difference. They are little islands of totalitarianism. If you're white, you're required to hate yourself for it, and if you're not white, you're required to hate whitey. Every day there's another letter in your email inbox from the dean of student affairs offering information on how and where to rat off white students for racially discriminating against you or sexually assaulting you. The hallways of every building are plastered with race and gender propaganda. One would think women and minorities are the weakest cunts alive judging by how much "affirmation" the school feels it's necessary to provide them. If you have the audacity to post anything on the message boards around campus without prior authorization, you'll be subject to discipline. The problems in our society today are coming from the social science departments of universities. All the race and gender hysteria, the wide divide between the left and the right- all manufactured in universities. Now if you're a white conservative, you're a white supremacist. It was inevitable for that to happen just as it's inevitable for the left to broaden that application of the term to the entire white race (races, technically, but that's too complex for them). They been pushing for that for a long time.

Universities are dumb. Real intellectuals get their information from KZitem podcasts. Edit: this sarcastic comment was not trying to imply that all 'real intellectuals' have gone to university, or that everyone that goes to university is a real intellectual. However, someone that goes to university is more likely to be a real intellectual than someone who sits on their arse and watches KZitem all day. Would you rather your open heart surgery be performed by someone who went to med school, or by someone that stayed at home, drunk Pepsi and watched KZitem tutorials? This is about hard work, and the intellectual dark web are generally lazy individuals.

A friend of mine, a two-term veteran of the Irag war who came back and became a fireman, broke down on the job and spent some time in hospital, then became interested in medicine and went back to school to become an ER nurse practitioner, went to speak before Congress about the need to take better care of our veterans. He was given three minutes to speak, but got silenced and dismissed before getting a word out because he called the chairman 'Sir', rather than the expected honorific title. In a democracy - and *especially* coming from a veteran, because the *first* thing they learn in boot camp is to address anyone with rank higher than them as 'sir' - this kind of behavior harks back to the days of powdered wigs. But this is a sort of litmus test for people in power: if they pull this sort of bullshit, they aren't worth talking to anyway because they weren't going to listen anyway.

It is just bewildering hearing people talk like they can barely get through life without girls falling on their dick. When John McEnroe was #1 in the world and dominating professional tennis, he wanted to be a rock star. He got a band together and surrounded himself with other (better) guitarists. His lack of true musical talent only seemed to fuel his ambition. I think of this when I listen to Joe Rogan sometimes. Anyone who has seen Joe's standup knows he is not a natural comedian. His jokes are one-dimensional, his delivery forced, his whole act feels a bit strained and self-conscious. When it comes to long-format live interviews, however, Joe is easily one of the best in the world. Really, who is better? He knows instinctively how to manage the arc and flow of a conversation, merging social commentary with intelligent, insightful inquiry. He holds his own with scientists, scholars, political figures, athletes, news personalities. It seems effortless for him, whether he's talking to one person or four. Stoned or sober, he just nails it show after show, and has single-handedly elevated the podcast into an art form. Despite these obvious gifts, he clearly wants to be thought of as a world-class comedian like Dave Chapelle, which he will never be. I find it puzzling.

I think the problem is that uni students have the knowledge of your average adult (maybe a little above average because they're at university) but still have the wisdom and understanding of a young person. It's like when a kid cries and thinks their parents are going to jail because they accidentally ran a stop sign. They've been told that certain things are wrong or bad and they feel the need to act on it but don't understand just how little it really matters in a lot of cases. It's not a sign that the world is becoming too sensitive, it's just kids being kids. That being said, I think older people can become much too careless and think that everything they do is okay just because they've never had to face the concequences of their actions before. Ironically, those older people become super sensitive when you try to call them out for being an asshole when what they're doing/saying is a real problem.

Why does it surprise him that there are people in college that are virgins? Some of them just have those kind of values. I don't personally share those exact same values but I can understand and respect them, and I don't think it makes you a completely different person just because you haven't had sex. What exactly was his point there?

...so I infer he must have the opposite category in mind as well. Like the >100, >500, >1k girls club (or at least those who had more than him, however many that is). What "womanizing" has done for me is reducing my interest in casual sex from hyper to almost zero by mid 40s bc once you're past a certain nr the excitement goes out the window and all that's left is the potential problems any interaction with girls possibly brings about. What am saying is that on the one hand this "achievement" unlocks tremendous peace of mind (bc you know you don't have to prove anything anymore and have done several lives worth of dues) while at the same time taking one of the main natural motivators away from life (and no, babies are NOT a goal. Biggest turn off and danger there is). It's a lot like drugs. You can really spoil your system with meth level dopamines and get unparalleled experiences that the uninitiated can not even dream about. But the price you pay is that everything else will then just pale in comparison. It's a very tricky problem rating "life experiences " the way he does here

Sex is disgusting. You stick something in a foreign hole and risk getting STDs or an unwanted child, there are much safer alternatives that will bring you the same amount of pleasure and fulfilment. If you base your entire identity on getting laid and get depressed over it then it's just pathetic.

The people that had paid for the seats had not arrived yet! So, I just walked right up to the very FRONT-ROW-CENTER and enjoyed the show! It was great!

I worked security at a corporate concert once and I was working backstage where the band gathered before going on stage. They were talking between the show and the encore about how no one would probably notice if they didn't go back out. They hated it, but the company paid them twice what they'd made from a normal concert for half the stage time, and to their credit, they played their hearts even though, according to another guard who could see it, that there were only a handful of people even watching and listening.

I dont think hes calling all liberals anything or all conservatives anything. People, including me, get tired of taking the time to spell out that theyre not speaking in generalizations. Anyone with a modicum of lingual intelligence/intuition would know that if he literally meant all liberals he would probably say "all liberals" 😒. If people were a little smarter and less sensitive there would be no need to qualify every fucking sentence

Brought in some great comedians like Mitch Hedberg and Zach Galifianakis. What Joe says is spot on - the audience just wasn't getting it like you would at a comedy club. Not for any lack of alcohol either.
